Thanks for the excellent mirror replacement tutorial. I am 76 and not someone who lacked basic mechanic skills in my lifetime. I decided to check out the video as a family member returned my Transit RV with the drivers side mirror totaled by a passing truck. $500 for the replacement mirror, 20 minutes of tutoring and 3 hours in the sun I actually removed the damaged system and installed the new unit. Some how I lost 1 screw but found a replacement in the garage junk drawer. Mirror adjuster works, the blinker light works, the door lock works, I am a happy guy but now need a long nap after another shower. Thanks again for the video and making it easy to get my hands busy! John
Thank you for this video, was able to pick up a replacement mirror unit and do the work myself and saved $350 from taking it to a shop! Guess I get to pay myself now =)
Thank you so much for making this video I broke my Transit mirror and it cost me $400 it would have cost another $150 to have them install it thank you
Good job! Did it myself and couldn’t understand why the f they placed the wire coupler of the mirror inside the side panel. That’s at least 15 more workminutes!
I'm installing the regular short mirrors. my 2015 Transit came with the extended long arm mirrors and I've knocked into things and other peoples mirrors in traffic so many times it's become an issue. the visibility isn't much better with the long arm mirrors anyway and I'm not towing anything.
Any chance you still have that mirror hanging around? Someone broke my driver's side mirror. Now hanging on with a wire tie. I feel so "RED GREEN" right now driving with that mirror flopping in the wind LOL.
