Indeed, on the other hand, the lower mirror casing itself was damaged also.

I literally screamed when I heard that loud thud I just got into a car accident with a young man who wasn't paying attention to what he was doing in sideswipe me and had the audacity to say can we just exchanged information like he was really going to get me with the okie doke

Thanks for sharing the video. I find the (vapor?) seals a bit ironic since there are so many other open holes, albeit smaller. They seem to only cover larger areas, so I suspect they are more for sound dampening. What do you think ?

@@MTBPlanB could be. BTW, Do have any idea of how the Mirror's arm covers are attached ? I am wanting to mount a tiny little rear-view camera on each mirror arm, and need to remove arm covers so I can route the wire through the tunnel the the mirror wires go through. Thank you.

Good luck Be careful with the bolts...using the tape method on the socket helps.

Hi, Thanks for the detailed advice. Any tips on why my indicator blinks faster since the replacement? All bulbs are working and connections are secure.

Are the bulbs rated the same as replaced unit? if so perhaps check the turn signal relay.

Thanks for the video! Just busted the passenger side on my 2020. How long is the wire that the mirror wire connects to? Any chance you can disconnect the mirror and then pull the wire out far enough to swap out the mirror without removing the door panel??

If I remember correctly, the wiring harness for the mirror had a couple of cable ties holding it to push pins in the door. I decided not to risk trying to pull on it hard from the mirror side.

Did you get factory replacement or aftermarket? I have the long arm mirrors on mine as well and have broken the light on it twice. Luckily never hit it hard enough to smack it closed, but have been looking to swap for sorry mirrors.

I replaced it with oem. Could you just replace the light versus the entire unit?

@@MTBPlanB Thank you, absolutely I am able to replace just the light, but I would like to switch to the short arm mirrors to be less dumbo like and lessen the chances of future strikes. From what I can tell the short mirrors stick out about 8in less.

Initially I was just hoping I can swap with somebody who wants the long mirrors instead of the short ones, but it has become apparent that nobody really wants the long ones.

Are both the top and bottom mirrors electric? How do you adjust the lower curved mirror is it manual for electric I couldn’t find the control to do that on the Transit that I’m using

It’s manual only on my model.

@@MTBPlanB ok thanks so bigger top mirror is remote and lower curved is manual adjust… disappointed Promaster with its many flaws were remote control top and bottom mirrors
