As many times as I change my oil you think I’d remember this. But this video is here for me every time. Appreciate it. Love the fact that it’s so simple and to the point. No wasting time. Thanks!
So he's stupid because he didnt know how to do it? Did you know that they change the procedure constantly and it's difficult to keep up. Literally every mechanic that does these reset procedures learns through trial and error. There is always knowledge to be gained as vehicles continue to be manufactured--- that's what I tell my employees, the moment you stop asking questions is the moment you are no longer growing as an individual. I realize that your comment is a year or so old but to me it's just sad to see something so ignorant. Yes the auto industry has been known to have a bad rep. Honestly every industry has its shady controversy but calling someone stupid because they didnt know something about YOUR car is kindof ironic. The reset procedure is in your owner's manual and as you've found out, on youtube. Again, us guys in the auto field learn these types of things through trial and error. They are ever changing and cars are more complex electronically than ever.
Did on the 2nd try. Also works for Grand Cherokee 2014 !!! Thanks for sharing, I was already pissed about so many things from the service center I just took my car from.
Why in the world does Chrysler make it that involved to reset the oil life indicator on their vehicles? It’s not solely the Grand Cherokee but nearly every newer Chrysler vehicle
@@samnunez9478 The vehicle should be in the on position, but not running. I don't know if that helps at all, but i just reset another 2015 today using the method in the video.
Joe Diver Yeah, after 3 or 4 tries it works for me. Pain in the butt tho. I can press OK to reset trips and fuel economy but not reset oil. Thanks a lot Jeep!
It shouldn't be that hard to reset an oil light. This is so Chrysler owners become their vehicles slave and pay the dealer, and better yet for them spend several thousands on an engine. Buy Toyota or Honda. It's all about the name. Don't feel bad though, because I have 2 GMs, and nothing but problems. Stay away from GM and Chrysler. Sell them before they lower in value too much more like mine with years of trouble. I fix one thing and 2 more things need to be fixed. Cars used to be so much easier to work on. Give it 10 and 20 more years, and they will be I can't imagine how much much worse. Consumers vote for products with their dollars. I've known 2 people with Jeep Cherokees who greatly regretted buying them...my uncle and my next door neighbor with one partly in my back yard. Sorry to say such negative things! One good thing after I bashed the Jeep Cherokee is they are one of the most comfortable vehicles to sit in the driver's seat I have ever sat in. Also, one of the most comfortable is the Toyota Avalon, and Lexus ES350 sedans. For SUV world be the Lexus RX. God bless you with you Jeep in Jesus name!!
