I just bought one, same exact year, model, color, rims and features. Funny enough this is the same dealership I bought it from. I always liked this generation and glad I waited to get it under $20,000 with low miles. Let these cars age a bit and you'll get the best for your $$$. My car drives just like a brand new Lexus and I know because I've drove plenty of them. The MPG is a little thirsty as I'm averaging 23.1 right now. I am somewhat heavy footed but deal with it because the power is excellent!

A lot of car dealers remove the shift knob to prevent it from being damaged I guess this guy forgot to put it on before filming.

I don't like the sunroof. It doesn't go into the roof itself it sits on top looks cheap to me and exposes the glass to road debris damage

FYI - The ES is hardly in a class of it's own. The Buick you mentioned is front wheel drive also. I'd also compare it a Volvo S80... also front wheel drive.

A lot of dealers remove the shift knob to prevent them from being damaged while the car sits on the lot.

This car doesn't have direct "competitors"? Um -- Lincoln MKZ is align with this Lexus ES -- and both cars come standard with front-wheel drive or available with all-wheel drive and both vehicles relatively comes with the same amenities around the same price.

The actual knob screws on top of the paper clip It's removed by most dealer and held until the car is test drivern by a potential buyer to prevent damage or theft

And this car does have competitors the Buick LaCrosse, Acura RLX, Cadillac XTS, Lincoln MKZ and Chrysler 300. And the 300 is the only RWD competitor and alternative for the ES350 and the rest is Full-size FWD sedans.

Eh, not really. Some people think that the 300 is a true luxury sedan because it's rear wheel drive, but it actually doesn't compete with the ES, and the RLX somewhat competes with the ES because they're both front wheel drive, but the RLX ends up being a GS priced ES, so the ES actually competes with Acura's own TLX.
