I have a '13 model with 2.0 ecoboost and being from the performance minded I am super impressed with the power, economy, quality, handling and price. If u r in the market for a mid level luxury sedan u will be hard pressed to find any better.
U either like this car or think it's ugly. I like it because it's different. A lot of the luxury brands all look the same from a far distance. All Acura look the same from the RLX to the ILX or BMW 7 series to 2 series. This car is different.
Great honest review! I have a 2015 MKZ Hybrid, and I absolutely love it. I often get over 40 mpg in the city which I think is phenomenal for a 5 seater luxury sedan!! Even loaded with 4 adults we are all very comfortable and the miles per gallon seems basically unaffected.
Mine has 43k miles on it now and '0' Maintenance.. Far different than the 13' CTS caddy I traded in for it.. Caddys are nicer but Maintenance to to much for them.. Don't keep them for more than 25k miles.. Caddys are Very high Maintenance, just like a Pretty woman..
Ambrosio Roballo The interior glows very nicely at night with an infotainment screen and a myriad of gauges. My MKZ hybrid has very cool colorful ambient lighting. The color of the ambient lighting can be easily changed on the Sync infotainment screen.
All of the negative comments are coming from a bunch of trendy posers. Yeah it's not Mercedes or a BMW and it also doesn't cost as much. I have a 2015 purchased in 2016. Apart from oil changes and some new tires I have not had any problems with the car.
I know this is an old review. Question. I know u are over 6ft how was MKZ getting in and out of. I know u had a Fusion which is same demensions. Enjoy yr channel.
try Keeping oyur car(s) In a Heated Garage! Makes a Big Difference and Try wearing Gloves in Winter.. Don't need no Heated Steering wheel.. let alone a Heated Seat for that matter.. and We set all our Contros BEFORE Taking off.. So not to distract us while driving..
For an American car!? Lincoln is a legend . An iconic brand that Ford is putting 8Bil into since 2012 to bring out awesome cars. Ford has been on a roll for 7years now . Best designs..best engine tech..& superb craftmanship!
Also I'm not really a fan of German cars when it comes to interior or exterior styling, and I hate to hate on German engineering but I feel like they could've done it more simply and have gotten better quality yet better affordability
I just bought one of these two weeks ago. It has such unique styling I have to walk around it every time I go to drive it just to admire the looks. I think the grille is fantastic, so much nicer than all of those large catfish mouthed lower grilles on so many other cars today. The profile is sleek, and the rear end is so pretty. The interior is modern and clean without all the knobs and buttons that most cars have. The ride is quite refined and quiet. The handling is really quite good. The engine has plenty of power and the shifts are pretty much imperceptible. I am really happy with this car.
Hey me too. About a month ago. 2/2017 Used but only 1800 miles. Lucked out. Agree with everything you've said. Using reg gas after my bmw, couldn't be happier.
My bro has this car, he has the 3.7 awd though. My cousin bought the 2015 impala LTZ which truthfully is nicer than the MKZ. I bought a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. What's crazy is my car was the cheapest, actually paid a few thousand less than my cousins Impala which was the most expensive. All 3 vehicles look good on the outside, the MKZ is by far the cheapest feeling and looking cabin materials. Although I think the MKZ drives better and quieter than the Impala, neither is even close to the same level of luxury feeling as my Genesis. I let my brother and cousin both know, you bought good looking cars, but not only is my Genesis good looking, its cabin is much nicer, the ride is better, the quality is better, and it's cheaper. I'm not just saying this because I own the Genesis, I'm saying this because its 100% fact. I put these vehicles to the test on many occasions and the Genesis is the far better vehicle. You WILL NOT find a single car reviewer to say other wise. I don't care what people buy, I just like to let those know who prefer the best for there money.
I agree with the majority of what you said because my cousin once owned a 2015 genesis and I had a friend who owns an impala and I currently own an MKZ this is just my opinion the interior of the impala and genesis are better as far as materials go but the same layout as any other car but the genesis is more luxurious but the MKZ'S design/layout is just something different and the 13 speaker sound system is loud and clear at max volume with the better sound system The MKZ looks better than both of those cars visually especially in the darker colors it doesn't look that good in white or light silver and both the impala and genesis have gas shocks the MKZ has electronic shocks the ride is way better then the impala but the genesis is not far behind but neither ride better than the MKZ Over all the genesis is better. You get more for your buck in reality.
Great car. I just purchased one with the V6. I'm getting about 26 mpg average, close to 32 on the highway. Love the car, very comfortable and quiet. Looked at Cadillac, but the Cadillac quality was way below the Lincoln.
Mine is 2 wheel drive. Yes, I still get about 31 mpg on the highway...but I've always had a light gas pedal touch. My wife gets about 28 on the highway, just different driving.
Baloney!I have the V6 and ave 18 /26..and that's per my Onboard PC.. and the V6 is the Only Motor to get if ever going to ride Hwy's..If your Going to stay at or below 40 mh? then either 4 cycl or get the hybrid..
You missed the paddle shifters, for all those complaining about the lack of a "shifter". S mode and the paddles allow for spirited sporting driving, choosing your desired shift points. Recently bought a "certified pre-owned" similar car and very happy with the feature to value ratio, as well as the overall performance to fuel economy compromise. Mine is AWD with the regular sunroof, not panoramic, but otherwise essentially same vehicle. Very happy with it.
Its now 3 yrs later and? I just bought this same color and yr car with the V6 -AWD for Our State of Wi. and W/O the Outside Car Antenna for? $20,135 with 21,233 miles on it
My Summer Fun Car for my Daily Driver around the Lake Resort I live in for the summer is a Mazda Miata and I usually go on at least 1 car Rally every week... Come Nov? Its hope in the MKZ( I haad a 08' for 8 yrs before, bought that 2 yrs old used for $15k) Got $7k for it with 68k mi on it and I could have got $8k, but being Christen, I sell things btwn its Retail and Trade in value, which was $7k I will drive this MKZ down to Fla for the Winter and Drive my Fla Car, another sports car, I bought down there for only $5k and put $2k into it and another 12' Miata of course..
Retired Up Here in Wi., in a Resort town on a Lake. I have the Silver HYBRID ! I had the 09' V6 Gas, that ave btwn 21 mph and 19 MPG everytime I filled up . ( All the Streets around here are only 25 & 30 mph) The Hybrid is great and getting 40+mpg is nice too. When we leave and go to Fla? We fly, don't drive and had our 09' Shipped down there for $500 and we use it there for 5 mos a Yr.. In and around the West Coast /Longboat Key area. btwn the 2? No much difference in Appearance and Not into learning all the Toys using a Different Brand either.. Ave 5k miles a yr on each car..
This is a 2015 The antenna on the back is on cars equipped with a Panoramic Roof & Navigation. The 3.7 V6 is also exclusive to the MKZ, this engine is not available on the Ford Fusion.
Always Encourage Everyone else to buy these nice Cars New.. that way you can buy them Used..Most Lease them as Tax Deducitons, which is a good thing and hardly use them..
What? Are people getting so lazy not to Get in and start their cars anymore? If you own a Luxury car, its in a Heated Garage, so who needs remote start? Just another Toy to Need Maintenance.. and we're going to give you 19" wheels and $300 ea tires that might last 20k miles, that used to be an option .. but charge you $2,500 for them.. What a con game..wait a couple of yrs and buy it for 50% less with only 20k miles on them
Actually the remote start is not for home, it's for when you go out to a restaurant during cold weather, or work etc, and the tires may be somewhat expensive but they will last a long time, I saw a 2015 Kia with similar tires on it that just now (4 years later) changed tires, and one of the tires was still good enough for us to sell as a used tire
Mike! Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 2,098 model year 2015-2016 C63 AMG, model year 2015-2017 C63S and model year 2017 C63S AMG Coupe and C63 AMG Cabrio vehicles. The rear axle differential mounting flange may fracture from repeated aggressive launches. A fractured rear axle mounting flange can cause the rear differential to become misaligned, possibly resulting in failure of the driveshaft and a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash.
Why use an aux port when it literally has bluetooth and so many ways to control your phone without touching it including multiple different in-vehicle controls and voice activation, and all you have to do is get in the car
