Man ive replaced all those components. And still 8.7v out of the 25v needed in the coil. It wasn't the ic, the fet, the double diode. The booster didoe. All happened after customer soaked it in beer.....

You needed to look at voltage going into the FET. Sounds like you blew your GPU

أخي الكريم عندي س,ال اذا تتكرم واتجاوب أكون من الشاكرين جهاز ماك بوك برو a1708 وقع على الارض ,هل يمكن ان يكون عطل الباكلايت من الشاشة لان الجهود على البورد جيدة 3ز3 وال5 بمعنى اخر هل واجهت مشكلة باك لايت العطل من الشاشة وشكرا سلفا.

Just like to say thank you. I used this video to help diagnose a backlight display issue on an A1466. Found the issue to be the mosfet, replaced this and bingo all working.

If i were u i well test the voltage first on one of the mosfet side to determine if the problem is from the mosfet or from the cpu

I love your work. I’m in Nigeria and my MacBook Air 2015 charger light turns orange, fan spins and then stop of few seconds but doesn’t turn on. I wish I can get it across to you😢

Apple crap! Why do they even install a fuse, if it doesn't protect the circuit and all those components (even the backlight chip) burned out?! Congratulations for your skills and knowledge! And for being able to procure the necessary parts to replace - an awful task, these days, considering the will of these big companies to make us buy, buy, buy. Then, they present themselves as "environmental friendly", and consider us "polluting barbarians" 😁
