We had this car for 1.5 years and it has been lovely. 2 oil changes, break pads and discs, light pulp and windshield wipers. Reasonable for a luxury car, relatively affordable

Maintenance cost goes with the installed technology. German cars are ahead of many other makers for that matter. If you want to lower maintenance costs, try to negotiate a maintenance package with the dealership before you sign anything. I got a 3 year free maintenance for my leased 2015 C300. BMW does not make you pay for it that's why they are more expensive

You forgot to mention the fun stuff like you cannot shut off the automatic annoying up and down volume on your radio and Bluetooth, seat recall is not momentary they are hold the button until the seat gets to the position you want, and don't forget the typical nonsense German engineering for ergonomics where are the between-seat glove box slides forward just enough to spill your coffee in the cup holder and how did I mention about the auto shut off feature for the motor that you cannot disable unless you push that button. I think you also forgot to mention about the parking brake that comes on whether you're on a hill or on a flat surface. You don't have a choice in the matter. There is so many other idiosyncrasies with this car as I can attest to

My lady got this car for 12k after taxes with only 1 previous owner and she put 5 k down I gotta admit is a pretty nice car

I love mine, yes it was steep at $42k but I'm doing a lease. Just wish I wanted for the keyless start option and had gotten snowtires in the deal. I have 2 years left to decided on keeping it or not, still very happy owning it and the market hasn't been flooded yet like the C-class market.

Mercedes specifically rips you off with their repair and maintenance costs. I have two friends who traded their Mercedes due to that and actually one of them traded it with for a Lexus.

It's a crossover with no trunk space o ly holds 1 suitcase cant even fit a carry on in there, so if your traveling with 4 ppl only 1 suitcase , found this out the hard way Christmas had either leave gifts home ppl home or luggage cant take all 3

Maine reason am staying away from MB is that 7G gearbox not responsive even pensioner think they slow, Currently best gearbox on market is DSG VW/Audi

Captain Carter In Eco mode the 7G gearbox is always hunting for lower revs. This car CONSISTENTLY gets 30+ mpg. In sport mode on the 250 the 7G gearbox is lethal. It's fast as hell.

While I love love LOVE the interior job they did on the new C-class, and while admittedly the CLA/B/GLA class is quite similar, in does nothing for me. Plus they're uuuugly.
