2015 mustang v6 with borla atak axle back with a resonator delete x pipe. From stock, to just the axles, to the axles and x pipe, followed by a little drive. Let me know what you think!
At WOT it is super raspy, thinking about buying some magnaflow resonators. Also future mods are roush intake, headers, and tune, as soon as my warranty is done.

Please be kind. Happy Lady just purchased her dream car and looking for the dream exhaust, at the 2min mark, THAT'S IT!! Question, is it as loud inside the cabin as it is outside? I bought NXT Step because I thought that was it, but the drone is awful and when it's not drone, it's still pretty loud, now doing research, it seems Borla doesn't drone, so before spending $$$$ I wanted to ask around.

Inside the cabin is still pretty quiet. With the windows up you can easily have a conversation without raising voices. It’s pretty tame during regular driving but once you step on it, it’s loud loud

I have borla atak axle-back right now with my v6 and i love it because of no drone. How is the drone with your axle-back with an xpipe?

MrJhAam even with the x pipe there is little to no drone. Regular cruising, you can't even tell it's there until you gas it. Only time I do notice a slight drone is when I'm on the freeway going 75-80mph but it's just a slight hum that music will easily drown out

Sweet! im getting x-pipe then. Btw does your axle back scrapes when you go up or down on a hill? mine is lowered 1.5inch on eibach sportline

I’m currently have the v6, mods are bbk shorty, CAI borla s type car back, bbk throttle body… however thinking of removing my resonator and putting a x pipe from borla (621104 - Borla X-Pipes)… wonder how it might sound…

Trig I called my dealership and they said I was okay to put on headers, intake, and exhaust. It won’t void the warranty unless one of those aftermarket part is the cause of a problem on your car. Otherwise I’m fine if I get those mods

Hey man do you know the exact model of your atak AB? I'm asking because afaik there's one for the GT, one for the V6 and one for the EB/conv V6. Yours sounds the best on a S550 V6.

When I bought mine, americanmuscle didn’t have one listed for the v6 yet so I went ahead and bought the one for the ecoboost. I did research a little and to my knowledge the ones made for the ecoboost and the v6 are the same

Babushka to be honest. I would say go and buy the ones that are made for the v8. Maybe they might sound a little deeper and give off a better tone. Haven’t found a video where someone has them on their v6

Jason afaik the GT's AB comes with 2.5" tubing as opposed to EB/V6's 2.25" so idk how that would go

You say at wot its super raspy. Is just normal driving raspy i had rousch and didnt like the constant drone the ataks can sound fine cruising town till you get on it. Soese it still sound farly quiet below wide open?

with the borla their is no drone when you are cruising.but once you gas it, you can hear the nice tone

Miikeo 0403 compared to your video I'd say the loudness is about the same. The thing with the ataks are that they are higher pitched, like a race car, giving the effect of it being louder while the s types have a lower tone. I do really like the way your car sounds in your video

Honestly I think it was perfect at axle-back... After you went x-pipe, it didn't suit the car anymore. Listening to you pull around the corner and up to the driveway, the mustang slowly rode to a stop and I was still searching for the vehicle making that much noise. Too much Noise without the proportionate Go. Not talking shit as I also have the v6, just voicing my personal opinion.

pj marlon yea it was just a little generic x pipe. Then they welded on addition piping to it would fit in the place of the resonator

James Owens late reply but I bought the borla atak from American muscle for about $750 and the x pipe I got from my local muffler shop which was $120 including installation

with the resonators probably like 6, with the x pipe probably 8. it only gets loud when you gas it but everyday driving it's a nice sound with no drone. sometimes i wish it would drone just so i can hear my car.
