Thanks for a great, relevant, in depth review. I am not a Porsche fan per se, but ironically as my Subaru Forester has just expired it is one of the vehicles on my 'possible' list to replace it. Second hand, these vehicles are a great buy here in the UK. Biggest thing that concerns me is Porsche's reputation for eye watering servicing costs. Love the coffee break too. I had the good fortune of visiting NC and driving up to the Blue Ridge Highway many years ago, and it's sure a beautiful part of the world. Keep up the good work. Regards, Julian, England.

I love these reviews. Initially watched the one covering the S4 since I have interest in that vehicle and just watched this one. The style in which you conduct these is different than the dozen or so other youtube car review channels. Its refreshing and just as informative with a more pragmatic perspective. The economic/historic perspective of the companies as well as the reason "why" to buy a particular car is appreciated. Maybe you can even get your hands on a Tesla....Keep up the great work!

How strange that I find myself on your channel again. I had commented on your SS 1LE video whilst in the midst of my search for one. Now here I am looking for a Cayenne S for my wife. Let's hope I am as lucky as I was with the Camaro!

I have special powers. I know when people need things and try to provide reviews ahead of time. :-) I'm glad the Camaro purchase worked out well. There are some good deals out there for the used Cayenne S - and that was before the crisis. Happy hunting!

Great review. I am shopping for a 2013 Cayenne S. The local Porsche rep recommended the 4.8 V8 over the base V6 because we're both car enthusiasts. I found one and called the dealer who did the 40,000 maintenance and they were able to replace the transfer case at 54,000.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes - the V8 sounds better. While pricier, the best of the lot thru 2014 is the GTS. They hold their value very well. Happy hunting!

what $75k new? im looking at this video because im looking to buy one used here in Norway. The only cpo avail here is listed at $96k!! And i think its very well priced here. I want to move to the USA now. I would be better paid and could by much cooler cars

I presume the taxes account for about 50% of the purchase? Here in the U.S. things are more affordable by comparison.

To call the Cayenne a "Truck" ad nauseum says so much about this "presenter". I would love to ask him if he has ever driven a truck. The Cayenne and its competition in this market are SUV's, an SUV is NOT a Truck. Theres an old joke downunder: Whats the difference between a Porsche and a Porcupine? ........... The porcupine has the pricks on the outside, so relevant to this guys RU-vid video, if he just stopped refereing to the vehicle as a truck, the rest is fairly balanced and valuable. definitely will not be subscribing.

Many people call suv trucks. It's Common. And it has amazing off road capabilities as well as towing capabilities. It is a Porsche truck. That was the point of the vehicle. Tow your 911 if needed, other goodies, but also off road. That it literally why I want the turbo s model. Because the turbo s comes standard with the full off road setup. You see some amazing setups go on bring a trailer. "you must be fun at parties" guy.... That's you..... This will replace a truck for me.

In fact, I first heard Porsche truck in rap songs... It's that ubiquitously known as THE Porsche truck, that you are the person being a little ridiculous. If you Google it, it shows this. It's just known. But sure, be a stickler and say a truck needs a bed. Please also tell me you don't consider the 4runner to a truck either..... Many people simply call the whole class truck due to the actual chassis structure....

It is a matter of perspective, and experience. If you off road this is a very capable truck. If you drive on the road this is clearly not a sports car. Regardless it is a real Porsche, and yes I have owned and driven a Cayenne.

How many liters for engine oil this cayenne s

Hi Arfat - the V6 TT takes 8 liters of oil in this Cayenne S.

What do you think of the bring a trailer listings that went for around 20k for turbo s? I saw a white one with mismatched paint or something go cheap. Man... Mismatched paint? I'll go fast for that. It actually looked very good, but I'm no enthusiast in that regard, I just like their ethos. Maybe I could go faster than a cayenne turbo s, but I don't see why I need to. I've always liked the super suv segment. One car to do it all.

Maxwell - I like BaT, but when you understand a marque - and their costs - a 20K Turbo S comes w/some risk. The Cayenne is a great combo. Just find a good one w/a full service history.
