You know, many people dont appreciate the effort it takes to film something like this. Multiple times filming and using a significant amount of gas. Thank you. You that mvp
So many DBags video themselves for 10 minutes, and the product for 3 minutes with stupid clickbait titles. This however, was straight to the point and more than I imagined myself needing to hear but glad I did. Great video, thank you.
I just picked up a 2019 Tacoma and looking into a cold air intake. I wanted to hear the sound comparison and your video did not disappoint. Thanks so much.
Man great freaking video, straight to the point without all the bullshit, and music. Us normal people thank you. What is your opinion on performance after the fact???
Bernard Mcdonald sorry I havnt updated the link the one I currently have in this video is the 63 series which is black plastic tube but the 2 others will make the same sound but have a bigger filter that you won’t get as much suction noise 👍
YoTa dyNasty sorry for late response I loved it I just recently took it off and installed a snorkel because I got a new front bumper that would let water come in but if you have everything stock never had any issues with water even when it rains or puddles but was a great purchase I loved it!!
Its just from the vacume from the engine when you blip the throttle. Cant really hear it with the stock intake because its resonated but if you remove the stock intake box and put a cone filter on it, it’ll sound the same
Pretty big difference on your take off run. I’m debating wether to get the k&n or trd intake for my trd Pro Tacoma. I’m thinking th k&n would sound the best any thoughts?
Cesar Perez to purchase the k&n in California is illegal I had to pick mine up from Vegas but live in CA but never got in trouble for it and took it to the dealer with it installed
Not really. It has an adaptive learning ECU that adjusts itself based on the airflow it's given. Dyno tune will always be better but the stock ECU is just fine and does noticeably improve torque/HP and most importantly throttle response.
Anthony Schaefer which model did you get? My buddy got the model with the chrome and non oiled filter and the check engine light would come on for high flow changed the filter to the k63 and no light
I just installed the 77 series on my TRD off road 2017, I keep hearing little pops from the intake when I get close to coming to a compete stop around 5 mph or while reversing. Is that normal ?
Thanks Scott Aubel! I switched the filter for the Blackhawk filter and it threw a check engine light on so switched back to the original k63 and never had any problems
Sam Dequina thanks brotha it’s a bone stock sr5 that’s how much of a difference the intake makes 👌 almost sounds like it has an exhaust but avoid that droning
xxSPADES82xx i have the model series 63 I purchased it in Las Vegas because they don’t sell them in California their technically illegal but you can find them on eBay or other places but not actual shops like 4 wheel parts
