@@ro19978 sorry for the late response, these s2 will come with a supply wire harness with a button switch but will be short to make it from the battery to the rear of the vehicle
I've been hyping myself up to give this a shot for a while now, watching a bunch of videos lol. Started considering going for aftermarket Tacoma Beast headlights but those are pricey . . . maybe I'll give it a shot and if I fuck it up I'll have an excuse to buy new ones. Do you think just going over it with a heat gun will work too? Or throwing the whole thing in the oven is the way to go. Just the thought of throwing it in the oven scares me.
It is a full commitment for sure! The oven makes it loosen the glue evenly, if you take a heat gun can potentially melt the plastic. You’ll want to work in increments put it in the oven pull at it put it back in pull at it til it comes off that’s the hardest part. Make sure to run oven for cleaning after
Highly recommend in ceramic film cuts the heat on the front so much huge improvement on long drives, I wouldn’t go darker than 50 would be a struggle in case it’s really dark out or bad weather conditions
Ok thanks, on video it looks fairly dark from outside, I want to get 50 with visor at top, I have 5 over 20 on sides so when I go through town I normally roll the front windows down and no hassle from cops, just wanted to ask someone if it was clear when windows are down

Do they go completely out when the brake isn't being depressed? If so that's not quite ideal...they're supposed to be on but dimmer for, "running light" and when you press the brake they're supposed to get brighter. You can look it up in the VC but I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to work. Anyhow, it inspired some thoughts as I have a mid-height rack coming and operational 3rd tail light is the law...

followed your steps today, got the add a circuit, however, your fuse box looks different than mine does on my 2018 4runner. where can I plug it in? do I have to replace a fuse? any help is greatly appreciated for sure. i also was able to fix the switch when pressing it in and out also, put electrical tape around and fixed the issue.
Glad you fixed the button so you’ll have to remove an existing fuse of similar amp and add the add a fuse to it in place with 2 10 amp fuses on that and should work just find one that you don’t use much but will still work anyways
@@dwreckdunn4824 I was looking on some replies in here and the one guy that replaced his tail 10A and added the add a circuit to it. so, I'd have to have 2 10A in the add a circuit, correct? I really appreciate it. electrical is not my forte for sure LOL. but this is cool how everyone helps each other out!

so I just installed this on my 2018 4runner yesterday, same exact switch, however when i installed the switch, you press it in, it doesn't depress to turn off. any tricks to fix that by chance? also where do i get the add a circuit for my also because my setup from 4runnerlifestyle didn't add that to their kit? it only lights up when you tunr it on. i appreciate the help
Nice! You might have gotten a defected switch possibly look into exchanging for a new one because they shouldn’t do that. And it should have extra wire for the add a fuse which you can purchase at any auto zone and follow the instructions
@@dwreckdunn4824 i got one at Oreilly's and will try the install today, as for the switch i was reading a bit more, some ppl said to try wrapping electrical tape on the side of the switch and try to see if it fixes it. doesn't hurt to try, if it doesn't work, then it's a bad switch for sure. thanks again for the reply!
@@dwreckdunn4824 Nice, how did you do on your trade in on your sr5? I tried to trade in my 2022 sr5 to get a trd off road as well, but nobody wanted to give me the kbb trade in price, so I didn't go through with it.
Maybe I should do that to my Tacoma since I got 3.5 inch lift, bro I would do bilstein fox or king…anything from icon worst brand ever and customer service

This looks really clean! I leveraged the power from the trailer connection and ended buying the 3rd brake light at Auto Zone. I would like to clean up my work and get the Baja Designs red rock lights. Could you share the part number? Also, I'm guessing you used T taps for 14 gauge wire? EDIT: I found the part number.
Last question, what type of butt connectors did you use to connect the three lights to the power and ground wires? I'm trying to source step down butt connectors but I can't seem to find them.
Great job; tou made this look easy (though I’ve heard it can be quite a bit of work)! How much time do you think it took to get both headlights done from start to finish (including removing the bumper, etc.)?
Thanks it honestly is really difficult and it’s better to put in the oven pry a little bit then put it back in and pry some more until it comes off because it cools down super fast The whole project takes a while day min 8 hours or longer but the difference is worth it
Thanks I had the same problem and although I solved the the issue but I thought let me check if anyone else posted anthing on the subject and if nobody did maybe I should, I found a lot of videos about all sorts of other matters but none was about this issue except yours, strange how they ignored such an issue! so thank so much for sharing this , really appreciate it. Worth mentioning that my case was with a toughdog 1.5" shocks and springs and the same issue so I presume it's universal.
Its just from the vacume from the engine when you blip the throttle. Cant really hear it with the stock intake because its resonated but if you remove the stock intake box and put a cone filter on it, it’ll sound the same
Does the add a fuse stick up too high to put the fuse panel back on properly? If so, what did you do to remedy that? I'm planning to do my install next weekend. Thanks!
