Wow! I'm so glad I found you again. Viktor, your knowledge and videos are so helpful. You really are saving so many of us hundreds if not thousands of dollars of the course of ownership. Many thanks.
I own a 2018 RX450H F Sport, and I've noticed that no one has demonstrated how to change the spark plugs on the 2GR-FEX engine. I realize there are 20 RX350's for every 1 RX450H, and the numbers are even greater if the Hybrid model is an F Sport. Can you perform a tuneup on a vehicle such as mine or is it so similar to the RX350 that you and everyone else don't bother?
It’s similar to an RX350, but there is more work involved. There is an EGR cooler that has to be removed to access the rear plugs. I may make a video one day, but there are a lot less hybrid models out there to get my hands on one.
Thanks for sharing. I thought the electronic-controlled throttle can’t be handed push to open the valve, can it? Can you teach us how to relearn the idle after cleaning the throttle? Thank you.
Can you show on the 2012 gen rx? I can clean the throttle body easily on the second gen, but haven’t figured out how to on the 3rd. Same with the mass air flow sensor. 😢
Viktor, thanks for the video. Question about a 2010 RX350, any possible issues in pushing the TB plate open by hand to facilitate cleaning? I read you can damage the TB electronics?
@@Viktor_G_Automotive Thanks again Viktor. I purchased a twin pack CRC TB and MAF sensor cleaner. I'll clean both components, since I would have gone that far in disassembly following your instructions. Seems like a good time to spray clean the MAF as well.
Hi, Viktor. I have a 2015 NX200t with an 8AR-FTS engine. Recently I found that the idle speed in D gear will be unstable when stopped. So I'm not sure if it's because the throttle body is dirty and needs cleaning. However, I checked the relevant information online and found no information on how to clean the throttle body of this engine. So, do you have any other suggestions? Thank you.
The idle speed is computer controlled. You can try to clean the throttle body, but it is not easily accessible. There is not much else to do, if the idle speed varies slightly, it is not usually a cause for concern.
Hi Victor. I’m experiencing a few issues with my 2017 Lexus RX 350 fsport. I experienced 2nd engaged, 4wd, ICS and engine light on the dash first and then stalling at red light. After I filled up I drove a mile and it stalled. Took it to the dealer and they said I need to replace all 12 injectors direct and port. I don’t believe all 12 are bad. The codes the gave me was P0172, P0175, P0117. Which points to multiple sensors. Can you point me in the right direction?
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to diagnose without me being there looking at the vehicle and running a bunch of tests. I do agree that it won’t be all 12 injectors, most likely only one or two. There is a way to test if it’s the port or direct ones causing the issue, but it can be very difficult to confirm which specific one.
