I really think this is gonna be my next vehicle. I currently have an '02 Acura RL & an '06 Accord v6 6mt. This sport hybrid is what I need in my life! Plenty of power, a kick ass awd system, & great gas mileage, who could ask for more?
This car has a very non-dramatic launch but still has excellent pick up. It's a shame you can't see that on camera. It's something you have to drive in order to appreciate.
+Nathan Adams We agree, Nathan Adams. The power delivery is rather smooth, and as was mentioned in the video, we were impressed by the smoothness of the dual clutch transmission, too. Many times, those types of transmissions perform well during spirited driving, but shift much harder than traditional automatic transmissions during normal circumstances. I really wish I got the sport hybrid, I got the P-AWS, still like it a lot, but city mileage is poor. The hybrid version solves that on top of giving it extra oomph.

Looking at a 2016 Tech Pack now debating on if I should get it...I’ve had a 1992 Acura Legend, 2003 TL Type S, and 2008 TSX...do you’ll think it’ll be a good buy?

Thomas Webb it’s a great buy on the used market. The sport hybrids are dipping into the high $20k range. The PAWS cars can be found under $20k. It’s Acura’s only japan built car. Very overbuilt and full of thoughtful little features like acura used to be.
Same maintenance interval as other sh-awd vehicles like the TLX, RDX, or MDX. The only maintenance for the EV components is changing out the DC inverter coolant at 105,000 miles (uses the same coolant as the engine). The hybrid warranty is 8 years and 100,000 miles.

It's a shame that you feel that way, mike johnson, seeing as how we spend quite a bit of time finding the right words to critique various aspects without offending or being outright negative. If you watch our review again, you might notice details of the trunk, interior, multimedia, powertrain, and design that we felt could use some improvement. its just a shame that its almost a rebaged honda in terms of silhouette, interior, and road presence. kind of disappointing. still a buick / lincoln competitor. still not up to the level Cadillac or Lexus let alone the big German 3.

Justin Bouche the old and new NSX are rebadged Hondas as well (New NSX is really a acura rebadged as a Honda though). RLX does not compare to contemporary Honda products. For starters, it’s literally the last JDM Honda that You can buy (except for the occasional Fit that comes from Japan when Mexico isn’t producing enough).
