I don’t know how good the market is for cats at the moment and maybe looking to buy one this time next year if I sell my 47 MV in Miami but it does feel around 15% or so too expensive for a heavily used yacht whith assumed high engine hours
@@catamarancentral I know you sell sailboats but I have a 47ft Carver 44 2006 that I’m thinking of listing, it’s based out of Aventura and is in sea trial condition, everything works perfectly except for the house water pump which I’ll get replaced next time my mechanic is onboard. I have completely transformed the boat during my ownership but am thinking now of going back sailing with a cat. If you know someone who would be interested in listing it please let me know - I’m not in a rush and use the boat regularly but if I get fair market value I’ll move on from it.
So why is it when somebody shows Catamaran they very rarely walk on the tramps, I’d understand if it was dry docked, but it doesn’t seem like a very good sales strategy when you’re on water….
Very good question. From a video production standpoint, it just doesn't look good walking on a trampoline, and they creak when you walk on them which impacts the audio ;)
Ehh. The helm station doesn't give you great visibility directly behind the vessel. For example, if your dinghy painter got dragged behind, you won't see it from the helm station before you put the engines in reverse and wrap your prop. Don't ask me how I know :P

We’ve been on this boat and can certify she’s worth every dime of that asking price! Age doesn’t necessarily equate to price. It’s about demand and inventory available. The Helia 44 is one of the most popular and in-demand production sailing cats ever made by FP, so it’s no surprise they hold their value, especially those like Moksha that have thoughtful upgrades. Only a clown would say not to use 5200 because it works too well. I mean seriously if you wanted something that doesn't stick then just go buy a dollar tree glue stick.
