2016 HSV Clubsport R8 (LSA) 0-100km/h & engine sound 

my neighbour owns one of these cars. It's scary sitting in the passenger seat of this car; he drives like he's on a race track. Even once the car is already doing 40 or 50kph if he suddenly accelerates hard, he can make the wheels spin. Pedestrians (and other drivers) often turn their heads and look, because they hear the loud deep rumble of the engine. I swear the whole neighborhood can hear it when he drives fast - it is so loud, but it sounds good too.

I will miss Australian car manufacturing.

You can even hear the bi-modal exhaust switch over on the acceleration tests. That's wicked.

I love the fact that the car was so loud that the microphone broke for a second until after it was launched, that means a lot to the rev heads

Nice car. :) The only aspect i have noticed with all but one version is this the rear door handle does not have a blue LEd light to illuminate at night or day time other than the caprice ? WHY when the caprice rear door trim is already made,so why not incorporate it with all the cars right or wrong ?

Nice car, but for a SC V8 I was expecting a lot better than 4.82s @ 0-100. My 2016 V6 SC Jaguar XE did 4.6 - 4.7s @ 0-100. It did have the german ZF tranny though which shifted instantaneously....I feel like the transmission on this HSV is really what holds this car back. Sounds great though!

It sounds so nice! I wish Honda would make something aggressive like this. My Accord Euro CU2 has a mean look but the NA 2.4 L engine doesn’t do it justice. I’d love to simply test drive a beast like this just once.

I got a 12.8 in my manual, same car could’ve done better than a 12.9 with a auto. At least 12.7

someting wong.... stock ss sedan (im across the large lake in US OF A) is 4.5s to 100 km... how is this at 540 hp pug slow at 4.8 s????? Australia is 6000 m above sea level?? Heat of 50 degress celcius is too much to bear? What is wrong folks? This should do 0-100 in 3.9 s at least.

They are nice and id love one but jeez... 4.82sec for 0-100 is pretty poor for a 6.2L v8 with a supercharger. An rs3 is quicker with a 2.5LT.

Bahahahhahaah my ED Fairmont with Barra engine does 0-100 in 4.9 Seconds and it's naturally apsirated. Supercharged v8 should be doing it in under 4 especially this size. Peice of shit pushrod engine.
