@Lauren fix I like the way you present this car in detail. I never knew the Hyundai Tucson was this good. I wanted to know more about Hyundai Tucson SE..i love the Mazda cx 3 but falling in love with the Tucson it has good looks and its spacious and large.

I know somebody who drives a 2008 hyundai sante fe and her battery died for the first time and hyundai covered it completely under the 10 year warranty. I didn't think a dead battery was covered.

This and the CX-5 are the best looking Compact SUVs by far. If I had to choose, as much I as love Mazda, I'd go with this. Like you said, it has a lot for the money. The CX-5 is pricier (probably because of better suspension components) while this is a lot of value for the $$$.

nothing beats the visibility of the subaru in the price range (LR is expensive), but i would rather have that than the swooping down roofline (hello headroom?) and the car like rear slope window. this is the reason i dislike the edge as not only does it cut in visibility, but you are also loosing the utility in suv / ute / crossover.

I have a 2013 GLS tuscon model and I love it so much! can't wait to upgrade soon TO the limited series! My credit was not good enough for the Limited I really wanted. However, I still made a good choice with Hyundai over Honda that was my 2nd choice. I got 3times more features with my Tuscon than Honda offered. I highly recommend the Tuscon

I Test drove the 2016 Hyundai Tucson LImited . I loved it so much comparing to my 2013 Hyundai Tucson GLS I traded my GLS for the Limited. What a huge difference! so many amazing changes. the fact you are a woman who has done your research made me feel sooo much better after watching your video. I watched several Limeted Tuscon videos including yours and they helped me to make my descion to considering buying. thank you for sharing! very quiet cabin , easier to use bluetooth. I bought the Caribbean blue color, Beautiful!

The 1.6 liter turbo does seem small; like it is said there's no replacement for displacement. Not sure why a more powerful engine is not an option (liek with the Escape; 2 turbo engines available).
@saguarohuggersheen6947

Prob because higher manufacturing costs come with more options. They've kept the price very reasonable on this

After a month of nothing but city driving, the computer says we're getting about 30 mpg with the non-turbo four set in ECO mode. I didn't believe the computer so I did a distance/tank of gas test. Danged if it didn't confirm the computer's numbers. I'm going to do it again next time we fill up because I'm surprised at these numbers. Oh, and by the way, we got it for $4K less that the Maroney sticker not including trade in.

Hi Lauren, I loved your review of the Hyundai Tucson. I have narrowed it down to three. The Tuscon, Mazda CX-5, and KIA Sportage. Do you have reviews of the CX-5 and/or Sportage? Also, I am not an aggressive driver and I'm still driving my '95 Nissan which has 442,000 miles on it. I know that's a once in a lifetime deal, but which of these three vehicles would you estimate having the longest lifespan of reliability?
@CarCoachReports
@CarCoachReports 8 лет назад
+Richard Tracy Hello Richard- I have reviewed the Mazda CX-5 and the Kia Sportage on my account. All 3 vehicles are good choices if you are looking at 2016 models. The key is to Be Car Care Aware, just like you have been with your current Tucson. Maintenance is key. Before deciding look at your insurance rates and warranties.
@richardtracy2167
@richardtracy2167 8 лет назад
Thanks Lauren!!! Yes, I actually have looked at insurance on the Mazda and the KIA. Both are very affordable. This could be a tough choice and that's a great problem to have. I'll have to take a look at your reviews of the Mazda and KIA. You pointed out in your review of the Hyundai how the vision was very good. That's gonna be important. Thanks again Lauren! :)

Looking good but Hyundai and kia got greedy. They are no longer bang for a buck. Check out 2016 Rav4. Limited full option for under 30k even hybrid version with xle option is less than 30k. Also Hyundai resale is beyond horrible. Reliability is questionable. We own 2012 sonata sport went in to dealership multiple times and value for it is only 6k dollar. Yep 2012 is only worth 6k. Resale value is that bad. We decided to keep it because resale value is soooo bad.
@242HP
@242HP 7 лет назад
Agree with you on Hyundai resale value and reliability. I had a 2012 Sonata with an MSRP of just over $23K. Just sold it this year for $10,500. In just 4 years it's lost over half it's value. Plus, it had 4 recalls in the time I owned it. I'd rather look at a Honda or Toyota over a Hyundai.

Has anyone here experience with long distance driving in this car? The seat being described as "rather flat" is a concern, as my current Hyundai is a great car, but sitting in its "rather flat" seat for 800 miles a day was pretty uncomfortable and I don't want to do that again. Thanks in advance for your input.

I can tell you from experience that this car is awesome on long trips. I bought my Limited with the Ultimate Package on a Saturday and hit the road on Monday to Florida. Nashville to Port St. Joe is an 8 hour trip and it was very comfortable the whole way. My butt never got sore and the lumbar adjustment was very handy. I love the air conditioned seats in mine. Used it all the way there and back. Excellent fuel mileage was much appreciated. More than enough cargo room in the rear. Enough so that I was able to fold part of the rear seat and lay the dog bed on it so out Schnauzer was just as comfortable. One more thing that Lauren didn't mention...... Apple Car Play is a free download from Hyundai as long as you have the Navigation. I installed it myself and it took about an hour at home in the driveway.
@saguarohuggersheen6947

I purchased this vehicle a couple weeks ago (2016 Limited Ultimate package). I agree with most of the review but she is SORELY mistaken about the blind spots! The passenger side blind spot is TERRIBLE. I fortunately have the blind spot detector but the vehicle is designed in a way that you don't get full view around the car even if you turn your head to check. There is a spot that small vehicles or motorcycles can't not be seen AT ALL and you must rely on the blind spot detector which I don't believe is standard in the lower end models. Otherwise I love my new car!

How does this car do on ice and downhill in ice/snow?
@CarCoachReports
@CarCoachReports 2 года назад
Your best choice is to use snow tires. Like any vehicle, proper tire pressure and driving skill will get you through most conditions. If its ice and snow, get winter tires for the safest travel.

How does this compare to the Honda CR-V? See I've owned Hyundais before and know they are reliable great cars. Never owned a Honda before even though I know they were once reliability champions, I hear from a few people who ended up ditching their newer Hondas due to reliability issues they had. In all, I've heard "and read" that Hondas reliability isn't on par with Toyotas anymore. Also, I love the size of the CR-V but don't like it's appliance-like feel. How does this compare to the CR-V?

I like everything about this new Tuscon...but my most important question is, "How easy is it to pass a car uphill or in the mountains???"
@Maxxlenoxx
@Maxxlenoxx 8 лет назад
+tigerbalm 2.0L would struggle in those situations but the 1.6L T is fine. You just have to adjust your driving because of the lag... I'd rather say it's a combination of turbo lag AND because of the DCT. In 'Sport mode" with EcoShift on, you have plenty of power on those uphill road situations.

+Richard Tracy Hey if you buy a Sportage it's pretty much the same as the Tucson. Same engines same suspension and the Chassis on both are of the same platform. The only differences would be the interior and exterior design so it kinda comes down to which style you prefer at the end of the day.
