funny part is this guy clearly knows how to get up and down a pole, how to lower someone from a rescue position, how to lower and raise materials... and yet this style of climbing would likely have failed me in the actual climbing test. keep up the good work man, based upon the vids you are the apprentice most linemen wish they had
We do it all from the Hall, its good to see the Brotherhood strong 💪. Nothing but Respect, coming from the Local #26 IBEW the DMV aka D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
I haven't been on a pole since 1993! Things sure have changed, a belt with 4 D-rings, the extra strap on the inside of the pole. I totally understand the concept for safety, but it sure looks like it would slow down the job. But safety is #1! I wonder if he was docked points for tieing the nose bag rope to his belt? In my day, you had to put it on a break-away hook in case it caught on something.
I’m Hispanic and it does help focus going up there ain’t easy for everyone haha I’m in trade for it rn it’s so fun but dangerous can’t wait to be as good as him doe respect for the man
Colestercamps I asked each of my judges before I started if they would deduct points if I loosened my belt off on the way down, they said if I was in control, and had atleast one gaff in the pole the whole time I was good.
