I've got one of these girls in my garage. Just waiting for the race kit to be available in Feb, and my Akro to arrive :D 715km on it so far and every time I throw a leg over it, I like it more.

+Miles Turton I'm not surprised you like it so much. The 20% drop in engine inertia makes an enormous difference. I have to say I was surprised--I knew engine inertia counted for something but I've never experienced such a dramatic change in handling. The engine is also much higher--again counter-intuitively--but the rider's weight is lower. So the bike turns, transitions and stops amazingly well; mega-impressive for sure. You'll love the Race Kit... it really wakes the motor up and the popping and banging from the Akra had me laughing and whooping inside my helmet it was that cool. --AC

+Omkar Khamkar Thanks for asking. The Race Kit will be available from dealers from February. It supplies the parts that will not be available on the aftermarket and includes: A race ECU and wiring harness with factory race map--this makes a huge difference to the low down power and general punch of the motor. Obviously that will need a pipe, the one fitted here is Akrapovic. The race ECU also allows independent adjustment of the S-KTRC 5 modes and traction/wheelie control; adjustment of engine brake control for each individual gear ratio. KQS downshift control allows for blip-downshifting. The kit also has lighter clutch parts. Also adjustable swing arm pivot collar (to raise or lower the pivot point + or - 2.0mm from stock). Also exchangeable pivot steering collars to change rake (23 degrees or 23.5 degrees or + or - 4mm (requires race kit bearing races as well). An ABS canceller dongle that gives 3 KIBS modes of All ON, Rear only OFF, or All OFF. I did some laps on the Race Kit equipped bike and it made a HUGE difference to the fueling. Stock is good, but Race Kit is AWESOME. :) --Arthur Coldwells
