2016 Mercedes S Class Vs Lexus LS 460 REVIEW & COMPARISON 

Which will spend more time in the shop? Which is more likely to leave you stranded? We all know the answers. I had 2 new M-Bs before I switched to the LS and will NEVER return to any German car.

Legendary lexus is better

lexus > Buy benz > Lease

German cars: built to impress for the first 3-5 years. Japanese cars: built to last. I'd lease a German and buy/own a Japanese.

This isn't a fair comparison I have to say, this is a Base model Ls 460 with limited features compared with a top specked s550. The LS 460L with full options would be the better competitor to the s class or ls 600 (h). The Ls u have here doesn't even have side mirror cameras, that's how Base model this is. I have noticed this quite a lot in your videos, some cars u reveiw are usually under specked especially when compared to the s class u review. I prefer the interior design though of the S class in general but the exterior design of the Ls. This new S class when a new model is released will look dated when compared to the Ls. That rear of the s class is an eye sore in my opinion, its major design flaw. The previous generation S Class is still the best designed s class since the 90's.

This level Lexus is not available in Australia, we only have the top level. Why are we obsessed with power and speed when 99% of the times we buy a luxury vehicle to cruise in comfort not to race every vehicle that pulls up next to you. The Germans have this thing about speed, they have roads to do it. In Australia the speed limit is up to 110 kms (65mph). I have a 67 Camaro for racing at the strip, I wouldn't drive that on the road. For the rev heads the Camaro is a 468 BBC naturally aspirated, the only way to go. Lexus is naturally aspirated not twin turbo. Imagine the Lexus with twin turbos, what a beast. Then we will have the same lack of reliability as they have with the European cars. I am on my second Lexus and am looking for a LS600hL around 2010, perhaps tow the Camaro to the drags, but do it in style, comfort and reliability.

New LS needed Lexus!

I wouldn't buy the Lexus just because of its ugly spindle grill. Toyota has been led astray by their dumbass design team. Whomever signed off on that grill idea, should be fired. The interior of the Benz looks so much nicer to me. The Toyota's probably more reliable and has better long term resale value, but I'd still take the S550.

This Lexus is not on the same level as the merc, from a Lexus enthusiast.
