Yes. At that point I just changed the actuator, only later realizing all I needed to do was losen the linkage take out the slack and tighten down again
@@rrud59 Whoa, wait a second…so your original turbo was good, the wastegate was loose but you took the slack out of the new actuator and everything is good with no faults?
@xavierm.9265 yes. Everything WAS good. For 30,000 miles until started giving me low boost codes. But yes, try taking the slack out first. I believe now that I never needed a new actuator , just needed to take out the slack.
@@rrud59 Hello again J, hope all is well with you and your Mini. By any chance, were you able to find the torque values for the manifold and oil/coolant lines? Another impossible mission.
I don't really remember an hour amount. But getting the intake tube out was time consuming and 2 of the 4 Allen bolts on the actuator itself was tedious because I couldn't see them while I screwed them in
Hey, thanks for you video. I’m have months searching for something like this. My F56 have a noise that I guess is the waste gate because is the same noise that I hear in others videos in BMW models. But until now I didn’t see anything for MiNi before the lost of pressure do you hear some noice when you release the throttle? And is worse in green mode? Better in sport ? And when the car is warm the noise is less? Thanks
I only noticed a chatter or flapping noise at low rpm . I thought it was an exhaust leak and honestly I'm not sure what it was because I did change every exhaust gasket/clamp when I put in the new turbo. I have no noise now. If i was in 2nd gear or third or 1st and realesed the throttle yes I heard a chatter but it also sounded like a plastic bag flapping.
