Yes! After millions of years of evolution a human being finally had the good sense and smarts to upload a detailed, highly informative video on the storage capacity of this legendary car. I was totally surprised to see the extra space hidden behind the seats. I never understood how all these countless car shows can review the Mazda Miata and none of them ever bother to show us just how much the car can carry, as this will be the only car for a lot of people who want to buy it. Thank you, Mr Bronner!
This video is perfect. Literally needed to know how much it could carry for a trip w/ my wife and you nailed it on the dot for what I'm looking for. Thank you.
Love these videos, a lot of detail about finite issues. It's like watching my Dad tell me about my brand new car! Think I might watch it again. Keep them coming.
You make videos from a user point of view telling us real pros and cons that you find in your daily uses of the car, and that is exact what I needed to make my mind and buy mine, thank you very much!
This is an excellent video...I'm planning to purchase one of these in 6 months to a year from now. All of these little details that Mr. Bronner points out are things that I wanted to know. Nice job!
I don’t see the issue here. You are not paying to watch the video so he gets to promote what he needs to, it’s the entire law of the internet and anything free
Thank you Nathaniel. My nearest Mazda dealer is 60 miles away. All I wanted to know about trunk space is whether or not my skydiving rig will fit. Around 8:50 in this video you have convinced me that it will. I am now on the way to the bank to get the cash in my checking account and then to the Mazda dealer! [Insofar as Male Drive is concerned: I don't need it! I'm 66, exercise at least an hour a day with the Assault Air Bike, Concept 2 rower, or Concept 2 Ski Erg I have in my house, and have been on a whole food plant based diet for over two years. And meditate a lot. This combination works for me. But I do appreciate your enthusiasm for a product you believe in.]
Great video. It was exactly what I was looking for. Car shopping next month and am concerned about the MX5 as my everyday car...but it is such a fine car I have to keep it on the list as an option.
Great Video! First time I've subscribed to a channel in a long time. Trash cans are a great idea, though I suspect if you removed them (put that stuff in behind-seat cubbies), you could probably fit one or two garment bags flat across a small duffel in the center well. Great way for everyone to share the creative solutions each user comes up with. Thanks!
Great idea on those cans in the trunk. I carry an inflatable kayak in a storage bag in my NB, and I think it will fit in the ND. But you could have spared us the male drive pitch.
Great video. Another huge space that is available is the roof place behind the head when the roof is not folded. Not the best solution but very effective.
You had done a great trunk review, I'm about to book this car as a rental for my holiday, and this is my biggest concern that my wife's bag won't fit. lol have to plan ahead on what to carry.
The luggage line reminds me of how I stuff my truck cab! LOL! I once brought back home a dining room table in a 62 Pontiac convertible, and used to carry my Hobie cat sail sticking out of the back of a VW Scirocco hatchback.
Great video keep it up. If you do another one can you give us your opinion on the automatic as most of the reviews just comment on the great manual, which I am sure it is, but I drove one and as I am tall 6'2 found that my knee was jammed between the shifter and ebrake. Right hand drive here in Australia. Can't get my hands on an auto for a test drive.
Good review, man: both of 'em. There are a number of custom luggage sets out there -- and some are not off the charts cost-wise. Just google "MX-5 ND luggage".
I know that you are showing what the mx will hold and it's a good video. BI really don't get what it is with many buyers of these . I own one also it's a sports car that's it's prime function two soft bags in the boot does for me and the wife if we go away . There seems to be an obsession with reviews over the cup holders . Day one I took them out they just waste space and I bought the car to drive it not drink my way across the country. No glove box ,great less crap on board. Maybe it,s because I'm in the UK and having been stateside a few times I know most US cars have more drink storage than the average supermarket but come on guys a roadster is what it is a drivers car Good review
Yang Cao How about: on the test drive I floored it and jerked the wheel on entry, and chirped the tires, all at a max of about 50 kph/ 30 mph. Big smile, totally within the speed limit. Does that help?
hi, i am afraid to get the automatic and lose the thrills of driving. i need to know the shifting speed in the automatic. is it laggy? is it reliable to play with shifting all the time? plz give us your experience/info.
+Elie Nehme The AT shifts quick and smooth. It is as good as any and far better than most ATs. There are times however that I really miss shifting and the consensus is that the MT is really great. I don't think that you will go wrong with either. The MX5 is the car that I drive 90% of the time and I do not regret the AT but there are times when I wish I had the MT.
that's exactly sir, we encounter traffic sometimes and that's when the AT relief us from the pain. i guess Mazda did a nice transmission since it has both paddles and stick, and the "shift plus/minus" is like the rally car shift down towards the front and shift up towards the back.
The automatic is a great transmission and quite responsive. However, this is definitely a car that calls to be driven manually, the shift feel is, dare I say, perfect. It's very short and notchy yet smooth and effortless. Every time I drive an automatic one it feels as if there's something missing. Source: works for Mazda Australia
