Sound, handling, technology....everything is better in the Macan GTS.

My dad has the cayenne diesel its a great car and jts a very reliable car if your parents want reliability then there is no question they should get the diesel its very very reliable car while the gts is not at all compared to the diesel but its what they want overall

is the diesel a boring suv to drive?

Never mind! We bought a GTS 2 days ago!! Just 4 months waiting time :-/

In der Realität der S3 objektiv sicherlich schneller auf 200 und vor allem ab 180 zieht er davon. Allerdings fühlt sich der GTS unglaublich spurtstark an und ist gefühlt mindestens ebenbürtig zum viel leichteren S3, das ist schon etwas verblüffend;)

Definitiv der Porsche

Da ich ja nun beide im Abstand von gut 2 Wochen gefahren bin würde ich klar den Macan GTS vorziehen. Er ist noch komfortabler als der S4 und die hohe Sitzposition ist im Alltag immer gut. Trotzdem ist er auf Knopfdruck noch mehr Sportwagen als der S4. Der S4 ist klasse, keine Frage, aber eher für den gediegenen Auftritt, der GTS kann auch lauter. Zudem ist das Fahrwerk im Macan GTS unerreicht.

That's in kilometers, sweetheart. So it's the equivalent of 0 - 60mph. This is not unusual for Porsche SUV's, especially this performance oriented one.

U sure doe? I ordered the car couple months ago and it is on its way coming. But the dealer at porsche told me it can only do about 4.9s from 0-100. I will be extremely happy if it can get from 0-100 in 4.4s.

C Jon I'm not sure at all - I didn't test it myself. Hah. So I would never say it's definitive, it's just what Porsche is putting out. It could certainly be exaggerated but it does have launch control. That contributes a lot to that number. But I will concede it could be a bit slower that it's rated. I've driven the 2010 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S with the 550hp twin turbo V8 and it's 0 - 100 was rated at 4.5 seconds. So I can see how it's hard to believe a vehicle with 200 less horsepower can achieve the same acceleration. The Macan is about 1000 pounds lighter though. Weight is certainly a huge factor. But I really think it's the launch control that is mainly responsible for that number. You can see it the video how well it works - it launches you around 5500rpm and even after it grabs 1st gear, chirping the tires, it doesn't fall below 4500, keeping the motor right in it's powerband where the turbo's are making the most boost. So it's certainly efficient. Porsche is often the manufacture who engineers the best version of technology; their PDK transmission being the best example. Good for you for ordering one. I hope you enjoy it. Porsche has their shit together. They really make some of the best cars.

C Jon my brother got 4.3s out of his macan s when he used launch control so a gts would definitely do even better no doubt

Its a way of showing his style. People should stop getting angry about it. Its the Automann trademark, the thing that makes him unique apart from making excellent videos.
