2016 RENAULT MEGANE GT REVIEW: I review my daily driver 5 years later!

@@BernardMina yeah but it's different strokes for different folks! Yours would smoke me on a quarter mile but then if we had to go offroad or beach driving, that's another story! 😉

Hi onlyfender01, As you saw in the video, I had over 100ks on the odometer, at it's regular maintenance intervals I didn't get any warnings in regards to oil leaks, its fair to say that Renault has come a fair way from that. Primarily for it was the battery, once the battery stops working literally everything of the car stops even the hazard lights. I would say the big thing is the car is big on safety. If you end up at a set of lights and you slightly come off your seat, the whole car flips a trigger and the car turns off. You have to put the car in park and start all over again! That was a big thing for me in the early phases. I always at the time, I took my car to the Renault servicing locations, but I think any Euro place will do just fine, at least less than if not more than $1000 AUD for a service. Despite the car I have now, I loved this car, and im sure you will too

@@BernardMina Thanks for your reply. I like hatchbacks and wagons, but I'm a bit tired of Volkswagens and want something more unique. The price of a used one seems reasonable and I want to experience four-wheel steering, so I'm looking for a GT. I think a wagon would be better for me. Thanks for the advice, Cheers.

@@onlyfender01 my friend is a mechanic for renault and he told me that renaults are not bad these days...but the one engine you need to stay away is 1.6 dci (disel engine) cause it have some isues whith an engine...but overall the petrol engines are good...im admiring this car...for me its just perfect...

Hey Necula, I totally agree with you on this! I regrettably got a 2021 Mercedes CLA 250... Yes! I say regrettably. Had i'd seen the red flags of purchasing process and customer service, I would have gone with a megane RS. I'm going for a Megane E Tech when it releases in Australia

Very reliable! Regardless of the car I have now... I wished I could have gotten another one or even upgraded to the Trophy model RS
