I will never forget this game I had just got home from a long day at the hospital, after brother in law passed away. He as well is a huge Tenn fan. We were losing pretty bad when I got home so I was like "well goes along with the day I guess" But then here came Tennessee!!! I was yelling for the Vols and I was yelling for my bro in law!!!! I know he was sitting right beside me through it all. After the clock hit 0 I was just crying and talking to my brother!!!! RIP CHRIS AND GO VOLS!!!!
Still remember this game, mainly because I remember starting watching Tennessee football in 2007. And this was the first time I’d ever seen Tennessee beat Florida.
Man - I was in Neyland Stadium for this game... It's honestly the biggest win we've had in the past 12 years to me. I really hope we win this year - I actually had us winning - until Florida destroyed Utah. I desperately want to be wronng.
Tennessee MUST beat Florida in 2022 and beat them fairly handedly to make a statement. They are hurting right now, and we have to capitalize on our momentum and their stumble if UT wants to create lasting progress. Watching these highlights are great, but it still burns because we lost this despite objectively being the better team midway through the season.
I was in the student section when this happened and oh my god it was... wow. People went NUTS! Everyone was hollering at the top of their lungs. There was a couple in front of me and he picked her up and kissed her. Just beautiful
This is so cute! This is that one game that UT defeated Florida in their last 18 tries. The Vols have been Gator bait even more during that span than Kentucky, S.Carolina, Missouri and Vanderbilt!
Do your research man. Actually the streaks and records are worse for all of those teams all time except for Missouri recently. The record vs Florida in that 18 game span is pretty much the same for all of those teams. They were the king of the SEC east for a while and dominated the division
This is the only time they've beaten Florida in the last 15 times wow!....it used to be a hard fought game, even when Florida still won more back then it was close games.
Florida fan from the future , it’s 2021 and we are still mud stomping ya 1-16 since 2003 keep up the good work we will give ya one once every couple decades I’m good with that
@@praxite33 ??? Coming from a fan that’s seen his team beat mine 1 time since Facebook launched that’s rich 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Even a bad 6-7 team with Emory Jones sorry ass blew you guys outta the water . Comparing Florida to Tennessee is like comparing a Ferrari to a Prius
I'm a realist. If you can't see Florida is trending down and Tennessee is trending up? You're not looking. Also comparing Tennessee to Florida? We have double the national championships you do. We had 2 bad decades. Is what it is.
@@praxite33 🤣🤣🤣 yaaaa brah you’re sooooo trending up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Thanks for the offseason laugh I get from your fanbase it’s always guaranteed from your fanbase of delusional morons like clockwork every offseason . How does it feel being passed up by kentucky ? Considering they have been better than you for almost a decade now . Looking forward to your 3rd to 4th place finish in the East this year 🤗
@@praxite33 any realist btw wouldn’t be predicting 20 years of incoming dominance over a team they haven’t had success against over 20 plus years 😆.........Emory Jones slaughtered you ......realist 🤣🤣🤣💀
Wish you would have turned that stupid background music down...would love to hear the crowd but all I got was gay music...I don't know why content creators do that crap all the time, it RUINS VIDEOS
I don't blame you. One win in ten games. Danielson said this game brought Tennessee back to relevance. Who knew... See ya this weekend, boys. 😊 #GatorBait
Can't wait for the next few years. I'm not a typical blind fan. We're cursed with FL the way Kentucky is cursed with us... I'm rather optimistic about the new staff.
I won't ever forget this game! This was my second season as a season ticket holder and my first ever Tennessee vs Florida football game.. what a game it was for my first time seeing these two teams in person, getting to see the streak end. Starting out 5-0 that season made it seem as if Butch had finally turned our program around. I would of never believed anyone had they told me the season would derail after the Georgia game. Everything fell apart after the double overtime lose to Texas A&M. Then Hurd quit on the team, and we all know how it ended..
I hope Tennessee wins every game they play save for Florida. You should want your teams rival to do good. Wanting then to lose all the time makes no sense. It's not a rivalry if only one team wins all the time. I hope the UF-TENN rivalry goes back to playing a huge role in deciding the east champ. They you also for your sportsmanship as well. Have a great rest of the season.
Yea...it's never been the university or the town of Gainesville, I lived there and a great place to live and good school. It's just they're athletic dept. and head coaches they've had over the years that I disliked.
@@topmech71 I made that comment because Jalen Tabor Tweeted daily over the previous summer about how badly he and his teammates were going to beat TN that fall. Karma.
Thanks so damn Much for guaranteeing a victory which made this embarrassment chokejob and valiant vols comeback excellent and unforgettable and the sweetest ever vols win vs the damn Scaly Gators
@@jeffbell3762 Year 2 isn’t a rebuilding year so realistically they can 8 regular season games, and I think they upset 1 great team. They ran a long time with Alabama which was on the road before the game changing interception. I’m excited to see year 2 not the rebuilding year to see if they can play a full great game at Rocky Top to defeat the great Crimson Tide.
And just think, if Butch hadn't been such a crap human being and bad coach, Hurd would probably still be on the team AND be UT's all-time leading rusher.
I hope Tennessee and Florida are both undefeated and ranked when they play this year. I think Josh Heupel and Billy Napier are both gonna bring back these two programs. Georgias dynasty isn’t gonna last forever like Saban and Bama. Tennessee and Florida are gonna run the east again within the next 5 years I can’t wait to relive the 90s and early 2000s.
They just need to keep watching this game over and over again. This team is on a different level in Neyland and I think we will see a different level of energy this Saturday against Bama.
Adaptive Savage maybe but it doesn't set up for your team. Exausting wins vs my team and Georgia and now at a and m and Alabama waiting at the end. Ouch
Alabama won against a shell of a team. We had a chance before the A&M game. Then A&M decided to aim for injuries (blatant calls against us and no calls against A&M for more obvious penalties). Thank A&M for an easy game.
It was so much louder in person than on tv wow. Next week is gonna be a win I believe Georgia hasn't played anyone good until they played ole miss and look how that went lol, and Chubb is injured
we had the same problem last year, when we play bama we pulled it together and it was a very close game. if we do the same this year we might just do it. #GBO
Great game coming from a UGA fan. Derek Barnett is cold & he went the fuck off this game between him and Josh Dobbs went off in the 2nd half. This was definitely the best Vols team since either 2004 or 2007. I've got Derek Barnett winning the defensive rookie of the yr and you heard it 1st. Barnett is no slouch and will be a multi time pro bowler in the near future. He's too good to keep off the field.
Complacency is the enemy. If you think you're guaranteed a win on the road against your rival who is playing better football than you all year you deserve to be humbled Good win for tennessee.
Jonathan Ross I know if we had Jeremy Pruitt our defense would’ve been insane and our onfense was already good so we might have finished with National championship
@@Greyson7311 UT had a weird sea saw from awesome Off to Awesome Def in all of the year since CPF got fired. They just never seemed to have a whole team...plus were very unlucky on injuries. It been a tough run of years to be a fan.
