I drive for Uber in my city with this car (Limited trim model) and I get tips like crazy! Everyone is constantly praising my car, they feel like they are riding in an upscale vehicle and they love the smoothness and comfy leather seats along with the dual climate control option and heated seats. This car still drives like a dream and I LOVE it!
Reason #6: Toyota discontinued this model as of this year. The 2015 and 2016s are truly becoming a rare gem. I just scored a 2016 XLE Premium today with 58,600 miles on it. Best sedan ever built and no sedan rides as nice as the Avalon. I will also say I love the ergonomics of this car. Great gas mileage, super comfy heated leather seats, all the features are super easy to use. Thanks to the majority of people being stupid and going for crossover SUV's with stupid AWD and crappy CVT transmissions, this amazing car kept getting overlooked. As years so on, many will regret overlooking the Avalon. Great car!!!
@@Funexpected - That may be a really screamin' deal as long as the title isn't salvaged. I paid $26,000 for mine. Correction, mine is a standard XLE model. As long as there isn't a problem with the title and the vehicle appears solid, that is a steal.
@James Hustler I took it for a drive. It's great, but there was some form of damage on every panel and inside as well. I told the dealer it wasn't for us because of that. The manager knew the condition, which is why it was priced that low. The search continues
@@Funexpected - I don't blame you for turning it down if it had that much damage. I wouldn't have taken that car either. Avalons do tend to pop up pretty periodically so I'm sure you'll find a good one pretty soon.
2016 & 2017 are the ones to get.The '13,'14 & '15 Avalons have a stiffer ride (probably because Toyota tried to attract younger buyers but did not work) and by '16 softened it back to pre-'13. Avalons are very similar to the Lexus ES line but far less costly.
I worked at both Toyota and Lexus dealerships. Between ES350 or Avalon, I would pick the Avalon. Both are very similar. You can get a fully loaded Avalon for less than the avg loaded ES350. You will get a lot more features and technology with the Avalon as well. Es350 sure does feels nicer, but if you want the same features as the Avalon, you will be paying alot more
@@Feraz69420 yes, you're 💯 percent right, I've definitely thought about that, the only thing with the Avalon is that it's being discontinued, and I don't really want to drive a Camry.
Toyota improved the ride in the 2016. The new body in 2013 had a harsher ride than the previous generation 2005-12. Ive got a 2006 with 395000 miles and its all original except usual wear items, an alternator and two plug packs. amazing reliability.
Recently bought a 2016 from a rental fleet. Paid 18k with 50,000 miles. Barely broke in and am happy to hear you are looking at 400,00 miles. That's why I bought this car.
2013 ride is sport tuned not harsh. Avalon chassis is the same as Lexus LS350 and no one would say the LS ride is “harsh”. They’re not copies of american land yachts like the original models from 2005-12.
I have this same car and love it beautiful look fast as heck. However I just saw the 2019 and it's a thumbs down for me UGLY the camry looks better. Still the best cars on the road.
I bought a 2015 Avalon in August of 2016. 1 yr old with about 29k mileage. In Atlanta competition in the car market is strong and I negotiated the price down to $21075 (plus tax tag and title only). So yes, GREAT car, affordable and very reliable. Gripes? Gas tank is too small, (15 gal?) and synthetic oil, so oil changes are $65 but I change it every 8-9000 miles. Good luck to all who are shopping, you can't go wrong with this vehicle.
Awesome bideo and it's funny that 2016 2017 Lexus ES350 Doesn't have Rear Heated seat......But Lyft and Uber Put it as Luxury but not Avalon? Avalon should be Luxury...
How quiet is your car? and how smooth is the ride quality? Im looking into getting a 2008-2010 Avalon Limited so I would like to see what people that own them think of it.
listen. its waaaaayyyy better than the Camry. this is the car to get of you can't afford a benz or BMW. trust me you'll love it. and how big it is it handles like a small car.
The presenter I believe made a mistake right off the bat in that the Avalon had as standard on some, if not all trim levels, THREE ZONE climate controls and not TWO.
hi, i have been wondering why some have the cd drive above the screen and others behind the screen. please could you be kind to explain the speaker system and does any model have 5.1 Dolby surround sound speaker system (with front center dash vocal speaker) as that determines if i should get this car or the lexus 2013 es350
We're not finding any info on the architecture of the system but we assume it is 5.1 - if audio is really important to you, here are a few things to keep in mind: Like other Harman systems, this Continental / Revel system features Clari-fi which can re-create some missing bits of information in compressed music like satellite radio and MP3s. It does work and the sound is very good. However, this system does not match the sound quality, warm tone and overall richness of the Lexus Mark Levinson systems. If that's your thing, you want the Lexus. However, the Lincoln, as a car, is fundamentally better than the ES and GS in our opinion.
Autotrader Harmon is more true to its original file. Bose sucks lol. My Camry 2009 has really good treble and bass. The mid range can lack a symphony but it's neutral.
When Toyota discontinued the Cressida (such a wonderful machine), it replaced it with the dull, ugly, out if shape, not even grandpa worthy car, that was until now. This new Avalon is everything the others were not, for over 2 decades the Avalon was horrible, but this one... this one it is on my list of my possible next car
Sadly, Toyota sold far more examples of the previous versions of Avalon than they're able to today. After the current generation, Avalon might soon be following its Cressida predecessor into the pasture.
texan903 the competition now is strong... and Toyota is not the king of reliability that it was 20 years ago... while Toyota is still high up in reliability... it is not a good as before and the others have catch up... Ford and Chevy and not the horrible cars they were and Hyundai and Kia are very respectable cars far from the shitbox they used to be.... so with relatability more even...Toyota has to produce really cool cars to keep competing... might be a little too late for the Avalon to safe it from its own reputation
@@mtt3870 In a lot of ways you're right. I think the resale, general value for the package that you get in an Avalon is unbeatable compared with Chevy and most other imports. I do think the fact that Avalon is still standing while most of its competition is gone, is a testament to the quality of the Toyota. Others in the segment just couldn't compete and had to withdraw from the market, whereas Avalon has stayed current with hybrid technology, Android and Apple connectivity, and now the all-new all-wheel drive setup, Toyota has tried to remain a step ahead of the competition with innovations and improvements to its flagship sedan. Also, the fact that the Avalon is one of the longest consumer retained vehicles on the road, people don't let them go or replace them until the car is falling apart, which can be at 300k plus miles. In the next few years, I intend to be an Avalon owner.
TheTruelakersfan yea I like the Lexus. However I wouldn't suggest paying 6k just because of the horsepower. Overall pick which car you like in terms of looks also. The quality in the engine is obviously good in both.
I didn't mean cash out 6k more on hp alone the quality alone is 100% better.Interior wise and out.Better paint quality better interior more luxury inside better ride quality. I like my 2014 Avalon but I love my sisters Lexus GS350 and is350 much better. If I would of known I would cash over an extra 6k.And Lexus retains better resale value than Toyota.
