Still baffles me why Subaru refuses to make a turbocharged BRZ “STI”. Nobody cross shops a RWD coupe and a an AWD sedan (WRX/STI) so saying it would cannibalize WRX/STI sales is silly.

We can only hope the upcoming one gets a turbo version. If not I'd be happy with that NA 2.4l if it makes it a sub 6 second 0-60 car with consistent torque

Subura already released a statement as to why. Doing so affects the vehicles center mass which changes how the vehicle handles AMD’s also adds additional weight which they didn’t want.

@@JedemPoKucama Hmm....I'm new to turbos so I don't know much about the technical side. I know it's forced air induction via the exhaust like my R/C cars. The R/C's though, they use the exhaust's air as back pressure to help drive fuel into the carburetor. I'm fixed on getting at least a 2017 BRZ as my first car/project car but I also want to jump into a Model 3. 🤩 I love em both but with the Model 3 there isn't much tinkering "under the hood" that I'd be able to tweak. Just the suspension, wheels, exterior and interior body work.

What’s even funnier to me is that I was obsessing over owning a Nissan GT-R while growing up, then wanted a Civic, followed a wave and started hating on Civics as most looked/sounded terrible (owner’s doing), then I wanted a Mustang, Infinity G35/G37, to a Tesla Model 3 Performance package, to currently driving a Veloster and wanting a BRZ, 86, FRS, as my first car to own. I went on Need For Speed the other day just to design a close mach up of how I wanted my car to look IRL and it pretty much looks like this car minus the spoiler and turbo. Ima keep it naturally aspirated for a while or at least until I learn and feel comfortable driving the car at it’s limits on the track before doing any *serious* performance modifications to it.

what is the mean to the tachometers on the left?

The top one is boost pressure, the second one appears to be oil pressure. The bottom one i assume is oil temperature, it could be coolant but I am willing to bet he got the oil temp one to be paired with the oil pressure gauge above

As nice as this is and the sounds it makes...I'd much rather prefer a balanced and blue-printed all-motor FA20 rev to 8600 rpm, 😏 (or higher). This car probably makes silly power, but I think some of of the car gets lost in the power.
