I have to admit that when I first viewed your review some time ago, I thought you'd been a bit too negative with the car. However I've been owning a 2013 VW CC for a couple of months and I think I give you credit for some of your comments. I think indeed that the car looks a lot better than it drives. Mine has adaptive dumper suspension(comfort,normal,sport) and it seems that in none of the three you get what you're looking for. In comfort the car doesn't absorb the bumpers good enough and in sport, you feel the acceleration, but the steering is not heavy enough around the corners. I still do like the car a lot, I got it for 23000€ with pretty much all the equipment you can get in Europe. Thanx for the review

CC nice interior comfortable drive when driven slow. Cornering is okay could be nippier. Going over potholes is like visiting hell until you get over them. But after driving it a bit I must say I really like the drive, the handling. Somehow it all comes together. Audi was a nice drive too, handles the road well, feels comfortable. BUt the CC has its comforts too and it is a really good-looking car.

you keep saying the car is "thirsty"..compared to what? its rated at 32mpg on the highway. I average 34mpgs on my 26mile commute to work. It also achieves those miles without the need of an awful CVT like its competition. Which V6 competitor is it close to in mpg that you say it drinks gas like a V6? This car is available with a v6, and the millage isn't even close. But what do i know, iv just owned one since 2013. Love watching CC videos though, so thanks!

+Jcarini15 when I say thirsty, the premium fuel is taken into account, the Honda v6 is available with the cvt/regular (your point taken). in Canada, cc does not come with v6thx for wathing

You mentioned that "it's an old drive train and old engine" and "they haven't updated it". So, exactly how old is the drive train and what do you think needs to be updated? You never elaborate on what the problem is. You also seem to contradict yourself in your own review.."It's the strongest 200 hp I've ever felt" and..the transmission works very well and is one of the most updated technical parts of the car. Is it possible that they haven't changed the engine and transmission for a good reason? I understand that you don't like the price, but explaining the problems with the drive train would be very helpful. Thank you.

To Will Bite: RU-vid does not allow replies: the engine drinks a lot of gas for 4 cylinder turbo. Car would be better off with 2l turbo in GTi and A3, both cheaper cars. Suspension is not that good. Slightly harder than most and more uncomfortable than all. For example; the Mazda 6 suspension more comfy and handles better... If you have any other questions, let me know. Thx for watching!

yeah new prices is weird, they made 25k for Tiguan and almost 50k for the same type but not even 4x4 CC... Old versions is ok with price like 20-25k

Coming back to this a few years later, this car stands out. Im looking at a clean CC R-Line 2.0t in the states this weekend, 54,000 miles (86,000km) for $10,000 private party. It also has some minor mods, is that a good deal? Or just spend the extra 10k and get a B9 A4? I drive a Kia Stinger GT AWD, but might get this as a daily, or even replacement as it's a lot cheaper. It would be a no brainer if I only had the 2.0t, as VW makes pretty good 4 bangers. This one isn't as heavily tuned as the Audi, but it's better than the 1.8t or earlier cc models. Also, does the 16' have the refined direct injection engine with the "budack cycle"?

44k? Is it brand new? I got a used 2013 VW CC VR6 4Motion Executive for 10k in great condition no scratches, no wears and tears at all. it has a healthy VR6 engine though very thirsty than the 4 cylinder but I do feel the power like in s sports car.

Just a suggestion it would be nice to know what changes they made to the car verses the pervious model. You spoke about it being the expensive model but you never told us what you're paying for. I can look past a steering wheel for some other cool features.
@ChristopherCarReviews
@ChristopherCarReviews 8 лет назад
It would be except I did not drive previous model. I always compare to others for those shopping, and I do mention Canadian price at about 3 min. As for tech, I am not really into that, rather driving experience and what is it like to be in (driver inputs, drive, general quality. Thanks for watching

Sorry for the delay, often, ice freezes over with snow. When you open the door in a rush, the top part is we Ak, you have be careful. A framed door does not have this problem. If no big winters, then frameless door is fine

@@ChristopherCarReviews ahh that makes sense, I take it there's the risk of cracking the top of the window or breaking the glass all together.

$44K? That must be a Canada price. You can get a CC for under $30K in the US.

Not to sound abrasive, but listening to you talk about this car is like listening to George Washington explain to me how an iPhone works. You wouldn't pick FDR to come back to life and show us how legs work, that's all I'm saying...
@ChristopherCarReviews
@ChristopherCarReviews 8 лет назад
Well, it so happens that US history is my field of study (no joke) and I am sure Washington given a bit of time would of had something intelligent to say about the iphone. BTW FDR was almost 40 when he became cripple so I think he had a good idea how legs worked. Thanks for watching dude
@mattmolloy636
@mattmolloy636 8 лет назад
+Christopher Car Reviews Yeah, FDR knows how legs work. Does that mean that he could SHOW you how they work if we reanimated his corpse? Before you come up with a snarky response for that, the answer is no. Its funny that you came back with some speculative conjecture on how George Washington could learn about an iPhone if he took the time to do so. Perhaps you should follow his hypothetical lead and apply that same practice to your car videos. Only this time, how about brushing up on your knowledge of fact based information & leave the speculative conjecture out of it... Needless to say, your U.S. History education did not serve you well today.

I didn't like this review at all. It was completely emotion-based. I've owned 5 VW's. I own a 2013 CC V6 Luxury edition. My car rocks at over 105k miles, no issues. I've owned over 40 vehicles and this is the best to date. The performance factor, smooth, quick shifting and GERMAN engineering no doubt at entry-level GERMAN price can't be beat. I have client after client asking "What is this car???". I also felt you could have washed and detailed car. Please show some pride in your work man.

I have to say out of all my cars I ever owned, Lexus, Toyota, and Hyundai gave me little to no problems at all. On the other hand, ford, Chrysler, Buick, and Nissan were garbage. Not to say that these companies haven't improved dramatically throughout the years, it's just something I wouldn't invest my money into anymore.

I like how you are own point with your Opinions, but your facts about the care , couldn't be more wrong, The steering wheel in the cc dated back to 2010 are the same, and has nothing to do with GTI steering wheel, which is Cut off Round and Flat on bottom...
