Hello fellow rider! I’m shopping for sport tourer myself and I would like to know what you did not like about the BMW K1600GT?

There really is no comparison.

I wished we in Europe had the blue option. But we do just get silver and "tech graphite" ...

seat SUCKS big time. Horrible seat

Cost is fair compared to other bikes in it's class. Range is excellent at 225 miles. Reliability is perfect, seat is hard on longer rides but it's an easy fix as there are many aftermarket seats.

yes indeed who would have thought, a manufacturer listening to the needs of its clients. Just unbelievable and so rare nowadays.

I disagree. All that Yamaha needed to do was change the ratio of the 5th gear only. This bike has more than enough torque to have handled the change with ease. The bike did not need the additional gear and, quite frankly, is a waste of time. My FJR will pull from 35 to top speed without bogging down in top gear. Torque is the key!!

Yeh...no need for another gear...good suspension would've been a better upgrade

Well, it might be at first, until after a year or 6 months on the market, then they will probably abandon it like what happened to the CTX 1300, and the price will drop off like a rock, due to poor marketing, and management skills.

the FJ has been around for a while .don't think its going anywhere

One is the ‘A’ model with conventional forks, the other is the ‘ES’ model with inverted forks, which is due to the electronic suspension.

+BMWGT1600Rider , well dealer wise, the local dealer outhere in cali is pretty nice so couldnt agree with you there BUT as far as price yes you are right big diference.. i had a new fj back in 08 and i was just very dissapointed and this is coming from.someone that doesnt like anything german and mostly everything japanesse but that rt i had couple.of years a go used at that was such a nice bike and that fjr from the buzziness to the uncomfortable position which granted that could.of been fixed oh and that heat that would.roast my legs i was just truly dissapointed..

Truth is every dealer or retail store cuz thats truly what they are, will try to screw u over of get as much money from u as they can i mean thats just america for.you customer.service.is none existant u know.what i mean? Now am mostly.a garley ridier.and those dealerships are the same thing just.ppl.trying to get as much as yout hard earned money, although i love harleys, so i think we.are in the conclussion that dealerships suck right! haha now.bacl to the bike my only experience is a year that i owned a 2006 r1200rt and also a harley street.glide like i said am mostly a harley rider so i have a personal one and i. Summer time usually an extra bike.that can be any brand. Anyways other than power why did u choose.the 1600 over the r series just curious thats one bike i havent had.

+Swapnil Ch, Multistrada sucks! I tried 2014 Multistrada S, and it vibrates badly trough the entire rev range. And it has the other issues also. I need a motorcycle - I don't need a vibrator. So, Multistrada? No way!

No, it really doesn't, but if you want to add some they are cheap.

I have them on mine. I don't think it needs to come as standard though.

I have highway pegs on mine, and I've never used them.

Use a cell phone w/ a Plantronix earpiece right inside the ol'helmut mate, that's what I do
