This video will show you how to install the Boost Auto Parts wireless charging kit into your 2017-2020 Ford F150 Truck. This covers 2017-2020 Ford F-150 trucks that have the full center console.
The installation is completed in less than 45 minutes, and allows for 15 watt fast charging with Qi compatible phones. The charger has LED lights to indicate the status, and a full plug and play harness is included.

This fits the following vehicles with a full center console:
2017 Ford F150 / F-150 with Full Console
2018 Ford F150 / F-150 with Full Console
2019 Ford F150 / F-150 with Full Console
2020 Ford F150 / F-150 with Full Console

Is this 2016 compatible? 2016 is nearly same as 2017, ‘17 had transmission changes maybe a few other things too.. thank you

2016 F150's have a slightly different interior bezel so they won't fit. You can email a picture of your console bin area to sales@boostautoparts.com to confirm this

Wouldn’t it be better to use zip ties on the excess wiring harness that you place on top of the AC vent or would I need to be able to have use of the excess for minor last bit adjustments?

It will work on a 2022 F250 - not on other years. Our development team is aware of the interest on other years and is actively working on them - email sales@boostautoparts.com to be notified when they're released.

Just to confirm this would also work with 17MY to 22MY SuperDuty trucks with this console, correct? NVM - I see the description is updated on your product page. IT DOES!

Yes, this also works on 17-22 Super Duty trucks. We are working on a video specific to those, but it's the same procedure.

@@boostautoparts My kit arrived so first of all, thanks for USPS shipping to Canada vs someone like UPS. It saves us time and money up here getting the package :) Secondly looking at the kit I can't help but wonder why not just use the 12v console bin or console rear seat outlet connections as the power source. I ca t imagine the connections are different and would be easier to access as only the console would need to be accessed. I'll do the install today and post my thoughts. Was there a concern of running power incase proximity to thr SRS modules?

@@mechalchuk Awesome! Our team evaluated all options and found the 12V in the video to be the best to use across all applications. Certain trucks may have additional 12V supplies that not all vehicles have, but we have to film it to be universal across all vehicles so there's a chance there may be an easier solution for you. The only thing you can't do is tap into the USB's - they don't provide enough power.

@@boostautoparts confirmed for 2022 Super Duty installation. Leave the radio trim and dash alone. Rear 12V and/or console compartment 12V is easier access for both harness connection and future fuse replacement. 1. Remove trim panels and 10mm bolt cover tabs from centre console. 2. Remove 6x 10 mm hex head bolts 3. Remove cup holder trim 4. Slide console back ~8 " to give access to T10 torx screws in QI installation storage bin. 5. Remove 4 x T10 Torx screws 6. Drill >3/8" hole in location shown in this video. 7. Install Boost Auto QI charger 8. Remove rear console cup holder trim by puing straight up. 9. Connect Boost Auto harness in line with 12v receptacle on rear of console. 10. Lift rear of console a few inches to route harness under and up through access hole in console. 11. Connect, test and reinstall console in reverse order.

You’ll need to put the parking brake on and put the shifter into neutral to get the silver trim piece off.

Does this allow your phone to interact with android auto through the sync3 system?

This does not affect any wireless systems. If you vehicle was equipped with wireless android auto or carplay it will still work with this, but this alone will not add those features if the vehicle wasn't originally equipped.

@@ajf227 It does interface with android auto - if the vehicle originally had wireless android auto. There are other devices out there that add wireless android auto/apple carplay, but the only purpose of this device is to charge the phone

On your website it says this will not fit my 2019 F250 yet the consoles are the exact same from F150-F250. Verified with my Ford Dealer. Can you tell me?

The console on a 2019 F250 is NOT the same as a 2017-2020 F150. Our team is working on developing a charger for the 17-22 Super Duty but it's not available yet - you can email sales@boostautoparts.com and request to be notified when our 17-22 Super Duty charger becomes available.
