Would love to see this car with Michelin's new PS4S or Sport Cup 2 tires. The handling on this new NSX is insane.

This thing looks so good in person. Some of the tech is kind of questionable, since when all is said and done, the performance is awesome, but not much better than some cheaper competitors. It's awesome though - anyone tempted who can afford it should pull the trigger.

Great review Tom. Nice delivery. I think it's worth noting when this car is compared to the McLaren 570S and Audi R8, that the Acura will be 1000% more reliable than a McLaren, which requires an extended warranty costing $6000 per year up here in Canada once the 3 year warranty runs out, and the maintenance costs on the McLaren, which absolutely have to be done at a McLaren dealership, are ridiculous. As for the R8, yes it will be reliable, but kinda boring isn't it? The Acura has the styling and performance to match.......... Unlike most super cars, you don't need to cringe whenever you mash the gas pedal for fear of it breaking etc.........just drive it as hard as you want..........it's a Honda after all............

Selling about 30 a month. That's what you get for making an ugly car Acura.

Its unfortunate the new NSX keeps getting compared to the original. While I certainly understand the comparisons, the new version is in my eyes, a step in the right direction for Acura as a whole.

This level of tech is out of hand..give me motor/gearbox and good steering feedback...thats it.

I doubt the NSX will steal sales from Ferrari and the like, but I can definitely imagine non-supercar buyers considering the NSX. For example, I would absolutely buy an NSX if I could afford it, but no amount of wealth could get me to buy a European exotic.

I don't deny this is a great car, but to be honest, it seems like a delayed response to the original NA1/2 NSX. To really have a punch in the market, this car should have shown up probably 2-3 years ago. It's much more refined on the interior, but it's still like the interior of a nice Acura RL. There's no unique luxury and appeal that you can ONLY get in the new NSX. Purists and original NA1/2 owners will cry about there being no manual option, and I think that's fair. It doesn't lend to the history of the original, nor does it really feel connected to its predecessor at all, the way a 911 harkens back with every new generation. Porsche did the same (PDK is fantastic!), but did bring back some limited manuals in special editions. If this is a practice in hybrid supercar technology, they're a little late to getting it to market as plenty are sitting on the lots. The value is a little bit overestimated for the time we're in, and would have made more of a mark circa 2014. It's in the price range of the almighty 911 Turbo S too, which is undoubtedly faster, better interior appeal, and more widely received. Yeah, it's not a hybrid, but for $180k-$200k who's really demanding that when they shop supercars? Plus basically all 911 turbos from probably 2010-2017 will spank this NSX around a track. And I do like the NA1/NA2, new NSX and 911. Great review! Keep the videos coming!

At 4:53, before you dropped the bulk TP in the trunk, you could have slid other items in both sides, under the fenders where there is extra storage room.

Technical tour de force, but a cheaper lighter ICE only would be awesome and a pain for the other brands.

Just learn how to accept it the way it is, it is a well built car that many won't be seeing it in their garage any time soon. Not even a used one for several years to come.

This is cool and all but compared to the original NSX this is not a driver's car. The handling is too artificial, the steering is electric, there's too much weight, it's AWD instead of RWD, it doesn't have a manual. I don't want to drive a laptop on wheels that is as civilized as an Accord. I want something that is visceral, that scares me.

Nice review. And I do understand what driving a performance vehicle does on public roads. I have a '17 Focus ST with a Roush catback exhaust system and driving this thing attracts every wannabe tuner and non-tuner around. It's like they want to try to prove that they are better or faster than you. It's nuts! The only drivers that don't "challenge" me are those in BMWs, Audi's and the like. I like to think they wish they could have saved money to get something just as fast as what they're driving. Probably not. 🙂 Human nature indeed!
