Highlights from the 2017 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta on Thursday, October 12th, 2017. Balloon Rides, Special Shapes Rodeo, Competition, Special Shapes Glowdeo, Laser Light Show and Fireworks!
My 2 year old can not get enough of this video. He watches it multiple times a day! I don’t blame him. This is a really cool video. Currently looking for a hot air balloon festival to see in person.
I live in Albuquerque and I love the balloon fiesta. Your video is the best representation of what it's really like. Thank you for making this video I enjoyed it.
I have been living in Albuquerque, NM since November 2011 so I missed the October 2011 event but have seen the first day every year thereafter.....this always makes my heart jump to even see it from one of the conference rooms in the museum. I love every part of it
My 2 year old is also obsessed with this video! He always waves hello to the people in the basket in the beginning of the video. He’s another 5 years to wait until he’s allowed to ride in one here.
Great video of an amazing event. I've been once and it's one of those experiences that can only really be appreciated if experienced in person. Thanks for sharing.
WOW....Exciting! Thank you for the pretty amazing video. We can't wait to use our tickets to fly which we bought our tickets a couple of years ago.....
These balloonist are from all over the world. We live in the south valley, a balloon landed I my parents yard, they were from Australia, and gave them a bottle of champagne,, really neat😄
Yes, you can schedule balloon rides with Rainbowryders.com . They are the only company giving rides from the Fiesta. Cost can be as high as $400 per person. You can get other rides offsite for cheaper, but not as fun.
If your view count has gone up substantially in the past 2 weeks it could be because my 18 month old is obsessed with this video! He walks around the house saying ‘ballooning’ 🤣
3:09 that balloon is the same color as Robbie Rotten's outfit 4:14 the red and white balloon which is far away looks like a big lollipop, it would be Ziggy's favorite balloon 4:58 what happened there? 5:37 I see a blue balloon for Sportacus I couldn't find balloons for the other Lazy Town characters
Yes, you can do that. The limited number of spaces sell out pretty fast www.rainbowryders.com . Cost is around $400 per person during the event, launched from the event. Cheaper if you fly from a location outside the event. Enjoy!
Does anyone else find them very eerie. like not even to do with the fact that ppl are flying hundred of feet in the air in just a flimsy basket, just the actual look of them overall. They make me shudder but at the same time they are very mesmerising. strange
It depends on the team, if they are not good basket tips and injuries occur, as in anything risky bad stuff can happen, it is the amount of risk one wants to take, this is less risky than some crazy stuff, and more than others, again if the person in charge of ballon is not competent and has no team or a poor team with little experience yeah, not good - not sure what if any rules or official guidelines are in place apparently that was something being looked at after 16 people were killed in a Texas Hot Air Ballon incident when a tour basket full of people hit power lines and burst into flames, similar stories can be found w a quick google, everything has risk, do your research before you get in one for an un-tethered "ride"
When you live in ABQ, sometimes you'll get woken up in the morning by the dogs barking for no reason. Then you'll hear the flame from a balloon and look out and see one flying right over your house. LOL
Maybe it's a little too early, but I was wondering with the current pandemic, how are the plans looking for this year's balloon fiesta? Is it still a go? Or are you guys just playing it by ear?
@@MartyMitchell92660 ...oh, okay. I gotcha. I went to their website and I'm not seeing anything about it being cancelled or postponed. I figure with it being so far out hopefully all this will be to where we can start attending events again, with restrictions I'm sure.
@@seanbartek613 They made be taking a wait and see attitude. They have plenty of time to cancel and to inform people of their decision. It is not until October. Somethings are already being opened such as beaches, so we will have to wait and see what happens.
I live in NM, and we don’t know yet. As a pilot in training, it’s hard to tell. They might just say, If you supply propane, you can fly out of the field. But no crowds
the videos you upload are very good... may i use some snippets from your videos for me to use in making my kids videos... if I may, I will include a link to your video/channel... thanks.
