Nothing and I mean Nothing comes close to this Beast.. Absolute Monster of a Machine.. No M6, C63 AMG or even SLS... This is one of a Mammoth Dream Car... The BEST .. AUDI....
I prefer S8 because it is more economical, sportier and faster than the AMG. Sound wise both are brutal. I must admit the control cluster for AMG S63 is the leader of the industry. However, I don't want to look at a computer screen while driving and would rather go for a more sporty look that combines sportiness and luxury. If you're older, the S63 will be great for pure luxury and status, S8 is for the technologist who wants comfort and styling for the modern generation. Not saying that s63 is not modern.
Here is the problem though, buying 2017 now probably doesn't make sense, they restyled other models, but 8 version is pretty much the same since d4/4h platform came out. Most likely 2018/19 will be restyled as well, and you'll be driving "old" one, while cost of your car will be almost the same as the new one.
Miss the 90s Audi 8, revolutionary solutions, great design, superb durability and comfort. And, simplicity! The new Audi8 is a great sportscar perhaps but not comfortable at all, and the glossy dashboard is just a whim, it looks cheap and common.
Exterior design way too neutral for me. The "Audi" is gone. Needs more sculpturing. I know Audi A4 2017 went more on neutral design on the outside, but the 8 series shouldn't follow suit. It's different.
Couldn't they have come up with a better door open beeping sound than that horrible digital sound (which sounds like a backloader, excavator, or truck backup sound). This car is ugly as fuck. Fast though.
