Hubby brought me a super giant print of kjv bible for Valentine’s Day, I was thrilled as he picked and thought oh he’s having a giant print one too, but it arrived today he told me it’s mine. Due to my eyes now I have to highlight everything to prevent glare from white paper.
Highlighting is something I love to do in my Bible: makes everything prettier lol and I tend to color code so it helps me identify certain things quickly in scripture. I am happy for you! That is awesome!!!
I'm glad someone else thinks a journaling Bible means writing! I do simple drawings in margins and use colored pencils to lightly add color or highlight but I was shocked with the napkins and elaborate artwork all over the Scripture being called journaling..
Lol. I mean I just think of it as an actual journal lol. It does have lines to write on lol. Yeah some people do go overboard painting the whole page, but if it works for them I think it's good for them.
It sometimes makes me wonder how much actual Bible *reading* people do when they mainly use their Bibles as foundations for busy collages that make it impossible to use any other way. I have what is essentially a KJV version of "Journal the Word", but it doesn't say Journal the Word on it - I just use it for notes, annotations and meditations on the text.
Yes!!! I feel like many people dont do actual reading in the Bible. I make sure when I buy or get a Bible it's for actual study use and I'm using it at least 2-3 times a week if not daily.
I think it's fun to see what Bibles people have. I'm going to get me a bible journal too. I think I'm going to use it to add notes on the side when I read.
Girrrrl you earned yourself a new subbie! You seem to love journaling bibles as much as me, you should definitely check out the New bible on the market called The Illuminated art Journaling bible by Crossway, it’s AMAZING it has all gold ink YES gold ink illustrations in it, oh my it’s awesome. You also have to check out the new Inspire Praise Bible, I absolutely love the original Inspire bible but the new Inspire Praise bible is super super amazing 💕❤️💕❤️
My favorite translation is The Scriptures Bible from Scripture Research Institute. I love learning the Hebrew names and the use of the tetragrammaton for Fathers' name and Yeshua(Jesus) name.
I just came across this video. I love seeing what versions other people like. My favorites are the ESV, MEV, CSB, KJV, and NLT. I have the CSB She Reads Truth Bible. It is awesome. Enjoyed watching this!
A bit of advice.. I've watched a few of your videos and it would help a lot if when you showed your items, you hold them up to the camera for longer than 1.2 seconds.
I'm not a fan of paraphrastic translations so the NLT is definitely not for me, but I've got more copies of the RSV than I know what to do with, and have built up a fair collection of KJVs. Definitely can vouch for the quality of the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, as I've got an older version of that.
Revised Standard Version (1952), it's kind-of the spiritual ancestor of most modern translations. Hard to find new anymore, but I've seen a ton of 'em in secondhand shops.
I just bought the everyday matters Bible from ebay! I have some of their studies and saw there was a Bible in the same series so got it. waiting for it to arrive!
Unfortunately it was a live bible study on IG and I don't believe the lady saved it. She does Bible studies on her IG account a lot. Her IG is simply_bible
