My 90 year old dad grew up dancing to this music, I fell in love with it in my 20s, and I can't tell you the joy it brings to see these young people keeping it alive ... and doing it so well.

First time I heard this number, was in 1961 when Jerry Lewis used it in the Movie, "The Errand Boy". Great groove!

Right out of the 1940's, 30's maybe? What a brass section. Cool piano accent in the background. Super cool or coolest female drummer. Joan Mar's short but very nice piece muted, also very cool. Man in black Direccion - Grazie. Thanks Young Band for many hours of great music and video. I have a great affection for you all. Stay safe and well.

Esta pieza tan sólo dura 1 minuto y 47 segundos... sin embargo, ese momento en el que todos los metales entran con fuerza, generan la sensación de que la canción dura mucho más. Este tema confirma que la cantidad no necesariamente es calidad, pues con poco tiempo lo entrega todo. :)

I have a question. How old are the members in the orchestra? And are they still playing jazzmusic?

I'm going to guesstimate (for this particular group) 14 to 20 years old or so, with Abril, Èlia, Rita and Carla being among the oldest. They do not regularly play with the band any more, although they sometimes drop in. The band itself is still very active, working through the covid obstacles. And the graduates continue active in music as well.

Yes, Chanelops is basically right. I put the year of birth of all the kids, ordered from oldest to youngest. Èlia Bastida - 1995 Joan Codina - 1996 Joan-Mar Sauqué - 1996 Jan Doménech - 1996 Carla Motis - 1997 Joana Casanova - 1998 Max Tato - 1998 Rita Payés - 1999 Alba Esteban - 1999 Joan Martí - 1999 Marçal Perramón - 1999 Arnau Sánchez - 1999 Alba Armengou - 2001 Abril Saurí - 2001 Nil Galgo - 2002 Víctor Carrascosa - 2003 Elsa Armengou - 2004 Therefore most were at the time of recording between 18 and 22 years old, some were 16 or even less (Elsa was 12 years old). And as far as I know, everyone is still in music today, although I have doubts about Arnau Sánchez. Most in Jazz, but some of them combining with other musical styles. Except for Nil Galgo, who is in a classical music orchestra.
