Just bought it today and love it. This is one of the better and more accurate reviews I've seen. Everyone else has been too hard on it. I think it's fantastic.
We are in love with our 2019 Buick Cascada Sport Touring edition. It’s a joy to drive and is a head turner on the road. Several people have stopped over for a closer look when we have the car parked in the driveway.
"the dash, like the gathering of the Juggalos, is a densely packed incoherent mess".... literally shot hot coffee through my nose. I'm sure some Buick rep is googling "what is a Juggalo" as we speak...
@@nathantherealtorsonoma I think I get what they were going for. A touch screen would solve the button clutter but old people don't like touch screens. I think Mazda did a better job of balancing the two sensibilities with everything controlled by three buttons and two knobs all down by the armrest. Still this is a very cute machine and I do see the appeal.
THIS is why I love your reviews. They're honest and relevant in the real-world. When people take even like an Infiniti Q50 to the test track I tune out. MORE OF THIS PLEASE
I'm curious how long this car can survive in the market, considering the convertible specific cars, like the Toyota Solara, generally don't last long. Maybe in places where the climate is mild this convertible will still sell. Outside of that, this looks like a jack-of-all-trades cruiser with more agility and a few neat details (Not the center console, of course!). I like your honest, objectivity in this review too. And it's very nice to watch as well. :)
+Evan Adams Oooh yeah i saw it, it's kinda weird, there was probably 2 guys, one that entered the camera with a monopod trough the trunk and one in the front that held the camera and continued the shot
I have one its a head turner people always asking what kinda car is that an i got mine for 26 brand new after some gm rebates an no it doesn't look like a Sebring an opel is gm in Europe same company
Sharp looking car that could be a big seller if Buick would put in the normal safety features of today's vehicles, ie blind spot recognition and lane departure warning. Most of all, add in a 400hp 400ish ft lb torque engine and they'd be off and running.
Nice car, but I can't forget a personal experience. I was once hit in a car that flipped to its roof. This convertible has no support if it's turned over.
The Cascada is very appealing but placing it side by side with the Camero and Mustang would make it hard sell. BTW the obvious clever efforts the presenter put into his review made it entertaining. I wouldn't mind a Cascada as a third car but it would have to have the lighter interior. Black interiors on a convertible are a bad idea.
go ahead... wait you cant afford it now thats why your hating on Buick by actually they hold there balue EXTREMLY well and in 3-4 years this car will still be around $25.000
Now regarding the discussed details, it is true that for the look of the car certain items appear a little less. But, compare everything on the car with a similar type of vehicle from other manufacturers and you'll see that what you pay for the cascada doesn't buy you another similarly equipped convertible. You get a lot of vehicle for a reasonable price. And only real convertible drivers will gladly include the so-called disadvantages.
Cascada is just a rebadged 3-4 years old Opel. That's why it lacks many features, cause it's European car and Europeans don't care much about features in cars and because it's already old.
This is embarrassing (as a lot of GM products are). For $37,000 you can get SO MUCH MORE. No push button? No smart key access. No Apple car play. Slow as shit. Good looking, I'll give it that.
***** uh...like no one. Everyone has that excuse for GM cars because so many of them are behind in interior quality and technology. They're just now catching on to push button start almost 10 years after the technology came out. Clearly lots of people care about it because everyone else is putting it in their cars. Cars aren't going back basic, that's not how the world progresses.
