It's not overpriced at all. You're getting a luxury sedan with all the bells and whistles, magnetic ride control, manual transmission, and an LS3 for under 50k. That's a steal.

@@Silverwarhawk Nope, sorry. There's only a shitty V6 FWD rebadged Opel now. A Camry is better than it. If the VF were built in Germany and exported that would at least be better than what we have now.

I love the E39 M5 but this is a modern car and technology has come a long way since 1998. including chassis engineering and suspension setup. So I'm sure this Chevrolet would beat the M5 around the track and in a drag race.

Some of the 2014's the first year are showing up on the SS FORUM and the higher mileage ones are in the 20/s. Have never seen one hit 25K or below tho. The 14's did not come with a manual option so they are all automatics (FYI). If you want to try and get into one check the ss forum and make an account and log on and look at the classifieds time to time and see whats for sale. Peace. PS. it is well worth it if you can afford it. They did (chevrolet) run 20% off about 3 times. LOTS of the SS's were sold then but not everyone got the discount and not all the cars were discounted. I did not. I paid full MSRP and still feel it is worth every penny. I have TRIED and TRIED to find something new and I cannot find ANYTHING I like better or would want to trade for. I cannot get all the standard features this thing has on it for the same price or even close. The things came loaded. Most guys would have preferred them to have had less of the goodies and kept the cost down but it was a niche' car, only 12+thousand made in 4 years so it is what it is and its all we got. Options were limited to 2. Sunroof or not and a full size spare or not. That is all. Except in 2015 you could then choose the Manual or not so 3 options total. Sorry for the ramble. Take care.

You could get a VE Holden imported from Australia. It's the previous model, and ones from 2006 are a bargain over here.

I agree I've got one and wish it was lower, I hate beating on my engine so I usually shift when max torque just comes in. I don't think I've ever even hit 5k RPM in it lol

This is not the reason to buy this car. The car has 2 options if not counting a manual or automatic. Fully loaded with HUD display heated and cooled (ventilated)seats..... and plenty more. You buy this car for that V8 and 415 hp and 415lb torque and the bimodal exhause. ALSO, comes with the same Magnetic ride control suspension as the Cadillac ctsV and Vette and Camaro ZL1 now. brembos , 4g wifi ...... I mean, the car is well worth the near 50K asking price. What other car/sedan can you get like this for this much money with this many options and naturally aspirated engine with a MANUAL?This car is rated 5 out of 5 stars. Imported in limited production numbers and ZERO advertising. The car enthusiasts and MOTOR TREND love it. Chevy would not provide one on the car tour and or provide one for testing or it would no doubt be Best Sedan of the YEAR probably. The ONLY options are: moonroof/sunroof 900. Full size spare tire on a factory wheel bargain price from factory 500.00. Otherwise, I can handle not having apple car play. I like to listen to the engine and well..............row my own gears. the Navigation? I never have used the nav in ANY car I owned. I got mine in Oct of 2016. Love it so much. Best car I have every owned. NO, not the prettiest, but i do not need a car to WOW ppl in my life. I love me some Chevy SS right now.

Why do you even need infotainment? All I need is a clock, radio and CD player. Early 2000s is all I need.
