Sarebbe un grande Rally Italia se fatto su asfalto e non su terra come in Sardegna. In Italia abbiamo le strade adatte per i rally su asfalto. Bozzy bel video è sempre presente in questi eventi, complimenti!
All these footage from a single day of testing ! Wow ! Impressive as always man ! You should really capture more WRC, I mean actual WRC Stages ! Keep it up.. :)
Yes, it was the first time I went to a test day but it was really easy to get all these videos. Infact they exit from the service to start a test session they did the special stage 3 times before heading again to service which means 6 shots from the same place (they start from a point of the ss and at the end of it they reverse the driving direction and do the stage in that way, like at 3:16). Yes I know I should go to a WRC event once
Do you know if it was Meeke driving? I met him at a rally when he was a young guy, around the time that Colin started to back him. Wonderful guy, very nice, humble and at the time pretty shy. Delighted that things have worked out for him, he really worked hard for what he now has.
Thanks! I'm quite sure Meeke did the first two days of test and during the fourth Craig Breen was behind the wheel. I was at the 3rd day of test but I really don't know who of the two was driving
Awesome video, man.I hope that you'll upload videos of this and other cars in action in the upcoming 2017. season. And there's something that i have to say-after reading some comments,i noticed some people find these new cars boring.Well,i don't.And i think that, judging by what i saw in the testing footage, the 2017. season is going to be awesome,so please quit whining about the past times and stop living in it.The 2017. rally cars are gonna be much faster than previous WRC cars. And so what if they have active diffs and paddle shift? It can only make them faster, that's for sure.Besides, isn't that what everyone wanted to happen?Well, there you have it.So let's simply enjoy these new monsters.
Thank you so much! I'm quite sure Meeke did the first two days of test and during the fourth Craig Breen was behind the wheel. I was at the 3rd day of test but I really don't know who of the two was driving
Simply awesome footage, Bozzy! Just curious, to get this type of video, how many cameras do you usually have setup? You always seem to have the cars you feature covered from all angles... the mark of a professional. Love that car, too! The way it explodes out of the corners like a slingshot is amazing... not a cheap, Dollar Store slingshot, either, I'm talking 'bout a Joerg Sprave slingshot! Hahaha! Great job and keep going, my friend! ;o)
Thank you so much! I just use 2 cameras (you can see the static one on the left at 1:03). Every time they pass where I'm filming, both uphill and downhill, I change the location of the static camera and I try to find a little different place for me to record with my handhelded Canon G40, that's all ;)
...........in my opinion..........out of all of the incredible sounding rally cars, the Citroen's sound is the funkiest. Is their a mechanical explanation for that?
when production based cars return then my interest for the wrc will return. group 4 was great, group b was great, group a was great, wrc spec is completely futile. who cares what a manufacturer can do, we care about what they are doing, they aren't making wrc spec cars for us, but they were making rs1800s, Quattros, integrales, cosworths for us, and rallying was brilliant, and popular all with highly modified road cars . purpose built rally cars seem to be boring to watch and have no relevance leading to them being far less popular.
Motorsports involving cars is dead 100% because of manufacturer interests! just look at the state of F1 most people don't even know it exists anymore and for the money in it pfffft what a joke. they use air inflated tires still enough said. Technology on vehicles hasn't changed since the invention of the very first engine, in fact we have back tracked our technologies and re invented the wheel over and over and over again using the same principals from over a hundred years ago.. fact is no ones cares or watches this crap anymore cause its boring old and nothing new, you only have to watch the on board cams to see how little the drivers are doing these days.. the cars can damn near drive themselves around the track now. lobe broke the pikes peak record in the most boring fashion I have ever seen. He was on a Sunday cruise through town it looked like barely pushing the car or himself. The cars are to tech and boring to watch period, motor sport is and will always remain DEAD !!! some things we need to let go of in life and racing is one of them, the glory days are over and its time to scrap it all and come up with something new ! even the tracks are more and more restricted and boring to watch. imaging they opened the ring for a run what you brung no restriction race event...with whatever you want however you want to get around the fastest, instantly I am suddenly interested in motorsport again. But dreams are not reality so lets all kiss motorsport goodbye !
+Alex Penfold there is truth in what you say but bring back the need for homologation and it could be great again (as the cars would all have to be worse). motorbike racing is still great though, definitely.
Well it seems you can't please everyone, and you're foolish to try. I understand the regret at there not being much of a link between the competition cars and the road cars but this is motorsport at it's pinnacle. There are literally thousands of rallies around the world where production based cars are the only ones allowed, in fact production cars make up virtually all rally categories except WRC and it's feeder categories. And sure, these modern cars aren't getting crazy sideways everywhere and going mental but the awe in this category is the sheer speed. Have you ever seen them live? These cars are stupid fast, like take-your-breath-away fast. To suggest the drivers have less skill is just plain ignorant. If it was easy we would all be doing it. Just watching TV foorage, either in or outside the cars doesn't do it justice at all. the other thing the TV doesn't convey is how noisy they are - these cars are LOUD! All that aside, the 2017 cars are going to be epic. Big aero kits, 380hp engines (remember most of the Group B cars didn't have much more than this) and much less weight than before. And they're actually not that high tech - traction control, paddle shifting, active differentials and ABS have all been banned since 2012. Sure the transmissions are sequential but so are most road cars now. Sad as it might be, the days of manual gearboxes are almost gone. As for popularity I think you'll find you're wrong there. Attendance at events and TV coverage world wide is stronger than it's ever been. I live in Coffs Harbour where the Australian round is held and believe me during the week the rally is on you can't get near the place. People come from all over the world for it and all available accomodation is booked out for miles around so it's not exactly unpopular. I feel lucky to live here, it's a great spectacle and as i said, the cars are mental. It's a lot of things, but it ain't boring. Thanks for reading.
andygasson i like to see the drivers struggling for control, these have all the compromise designed out of them so they are too controllable, besides they do still have paddle shifts and active diffs return next year. At very least they should look like the road cars, at least the mk1 focus wrc, imprezas, escort wrc had that going for them.
What that coming over the hill for 2017 - WRC may have started listening to the fans - Toyota and Citroen both have very fast cars under testing - Group B looky- likey anyone?
out of 6. The "test 6" written is in order to say "this is the 6th test we're doing with the 2017 car". Don't know how many chassis they've already tested
On attend on attend désespérément que Citroen sorte une sportive intégrale avec au moins 300cv, routière. Expected expected desperately Citroen made a Sports car for Road, 4wd with at least 300hp.
