I've had a recurring membership since 2002, would be cool to see which player has the longest running membership. Wouldn't be hard to figure out as forums shows how long you've had your membership.
The Hard and Elite clue spike is acutally quite simple answer to the spike. Everyone had been saving up the dark totems to kill skotizno, so when they finally did, that flooded a ton of hard and elite clues into the game.
the reason the hard and elite clues spiked is because of the skotizo pet, if more and more people are grinding the boss for the pet and u get a clue every kill most people are going to do those clues and get another clue next kill, it drops alot of hard and elite clues
Great quality once again! Very, very good that osrs is so clear about what’s going on in the game and giving the players the chance to have a look at that! Admittedly, statistics aren’t very exciting to watch, but nothing in life can be only consisting out of the enjoyable things, right? Anyways, it can/is certainly (be) important to have a look at it once in a while, just to get a general idea about what’s going on so osrs (and even the players!) can, for example, take that into consideration with future updates! A funny statistic to look at would be the # of people who started Fairy Tale Pt 2 but didn't complete. We already saw not many people did the quest this year, would be interesting to see how many started it though
KQ actually has a pretty balanced drop table, you stand to make quite a bit of money if you have the patience to complete an entire task there. I do admit it was terrible to try to do at lower levels and without a DWH though.
It's just sad such an iconic boss doesn't have a bit more of a unique loot table, especially considering we could have a cool piece of armor or weapon ... a cool idea would be some tanking/defensive boots made out of the kalphites shell or hide or whatever

on a serious note though a question to any mod who might read this comment. The reason given for the EoC was because the game was coming to a wall where it couldn't really bring out any new stuff without it being unbalanced, do you think we're coming towards that same wall on oldschool?
I am no mod, but the answer is most definitely yes. There's a reason why games often do stat squishes or even ''reset' your gear. Latter isn't really possible due to how RS works and former is questionable given OSRS's background and how it came to be. I believe that most of the devs dread the moment when they finally HAVE TO address the elephant in the room. Most of the new "end game" items added to the game are only marginally stronger, but even that is slowly adding to the overall power creep. And then we have things like Twisted Bow which is disgustingly strong and makes most of the content completely trivial. Adding more items such as Twisted Bow would seriously damage the game. Making these items so rare and expensive that only sub 1% of the playerbase has access to them isn't exactly a healthy decision either, could almost call it a 'band-aid fix". If you want an obvious red flag, look no further than the new raid armor. It's designed to be at its full power within the raid, but only equivalent to....barrows(?) outside of it. Correct me if I'm wrong. I think that we're going to see more items like the raid gear in the future. Something that has its power and usefulness limited by certain factors.
I remember how they adressed that question on a Q&A stream. They said they always try to find niche ways to introduce new items, like Arclight, just to prevent power creep. But yeah, it will definitely be a problem in the (near) future. In 12 months time they (will) have introduced BiS capes for melee, mage and range
Could someone please explain to me how more people could complete MEPII than MEPI? As you inherently have to do part 1 to start part 2? I'm not sure if I'm being stupid but the only thing I can think of is that people do part 1 in 2016 and part 2 in 2017?

Please stop solely listening to r/2007Scape for advice or player feedback. That cesspool is hated by other factions of the playerbase for a reason, partially because their popular suggestions are actually just bad, ruin game integrity, and would waste time and resources on dead content. Not branching-out your "feelers" would be a mistake. Reddit is a minority of the playerbase. It has done nothing but lead people like Mod Mat K to be dismissive and act like they know better.

I ve been buying membership loggin 1-3 days and then quit from the lag and quit for many months come back get membership 1-3 days and it lags a lot I tried different pcs and internet connection the servers are bad I used to play this game back in dial up days and it was better how can your servers be worse then servers that ran from dail up! fix this its a joke this game is worth billion but the servers are that of a dead game that is just running for the sake of running for the few left.... if you plan on the servers to stay in longterm and run them with small number of players in the future as you predicted a decline in player base then it might be good idea to have these bad servers if you plan to ve a good triple A main game of a company you need better servers.... the internet in the uk is bad maybe have your hq there but your main server outside idk fix it I would love to play osrs but I cant its really bad because its laggy
Look up "runescape check ping" on RU-vid and pick the server with the least ping. This means the server is closest to you and you won't lag as much! Hope this helps.
They only care about bots because the bots make more money then these scoundrels. They don't listen to us THE PLAYERS about what we want in game they pay to much attention to dumb as sht. They banned 10t bots last year and the bots doubled. Next year maybe even tripled so just wasting resources on something they can't fix. They need to pay more attention to what we want as players. And not all this nonsense botting bs. It's RuneScape there has always been bots.

Blaze Noseworthy instead of adding bonds to osrs they should just sell gold preventing players from buying gold off botters. I mean that is why botters are in high demand for games like osrs. If they did this and under sold it buy 75cents they would defeat there problem. I mean why not every flipping game out there basically does this for you already.

Those are questions that have to be asked. Why is everything shown seperately but PvP which is a huge thing is just clumped into one single graph? How is this aggressive in any way it's the truth.
