The Hemi is also available on the Citadel, which is the top trim level below the RT.

Correction, the Citadel also comes with an optional 5.7 V8, not just the R/T.

We just bought one of these (2017 RT blacktop). We've owned many SUVs including a Cayenne S, but I must say this thing is far and away my favorite. Wow. If they ever make a SRT model, I will be first in line. GREAT truck and AWESOME review. THANKS

I always though dudge was the least reliable out of the big three. Has that chanced over the past few years? I have been out of the car loop. Very nice looking ride.

+North jersey Kevin Consumer Reports actually gave it "average" reliability which isn't that bad.

the Dodge Durango is not currently recommended by Consumer Reports. In the Large sport-utility category the Chevy Traverse, Ford Flex, Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia are recommended. This is probably because the predicted reliability rating is only Fair, which is their second lowest rating. The Durango also doesn't get a top safety pick rating from the IIHS. I really like this vehicle, and I am in the market for a mid-sized SUV. Will mostly get the Hyundai Santa Fe. More features. Better safety rating, better reliability, handles better, more comfortable second row. The towing ability isn't as nice, but can still tow 5000lbs. Not bad.

davedavis I don't see the point of the citadel besides the chrome. With all the packages on the rt you get a better exhaust and all the same tech with a better looking vehicle. If you want chrome you'll get a Grand Cherokee

PumaBitez I have a '15 Durango Citadel AWD. No problems at all so far. Dodge was supposed to discontinue the Durango after 2015, but I'm glad to see its still available in the FCA lineup. I'm looking forward to seeing the 2018 refresh/redesign that's supposedly on the drawing board.
