I agree. However, plan on waiting 3 MONTHS between those podcasts!! That said, I will forgive them if this is what we get in between. Yes, I know podcasting is a hobby & not his job.
Great comprehensive review and really nicely produced and presented - looks like the Monster is back! ...by the way who would possibly pay more for a Ducati in Grey?? There should be a Euro 4 ruling that says they have to be red I reckon....
Normally I'd agree, but currently I ride a black Monster S2R and I really think that grey looks astonishing. At least you didn't do the unthinkable and buy a white Panigale ;)
This review was a joy to watch and hear. Articulate, intelligent and objective but enthusiastic, a lot of other reviewers should take a leaf out of your book sir!
The only negative I can think of with the quick shift if you use it all time. When that situation you need to step on the brake in panic . You may be not find the clutch again as fast as you should/would.
Hey Bike World, change the title so there is a space between 1200 and S. When searching youtube for Ducati Monster 1200, your video doesn't appear. Which is a shame because it's a good video!
I just picked up a 2017 1200 S yesterday and I'm loving it. I was torn between this and the Super Duke R and this completely won me over, so refined and a joy to ride!
how is the 17 S compared to the 16 R? I ask because I have ordered the 17 S ) I traded my 16 Tuono Factory) and should be taking delivery later this month (even though I won't be able to ride it until after the snow clears). I'm fairly certain I've watched every review of the 17 S and your review is #1 with no other review anywhere close in quality and substance. As always, you guys did an amazing job. Thanks again
Really liking, may need to visit dealer & checkout the size. My 2008 GT1,000 is a hoot with 40k miles & no issues lower gearing allows up to 50 mph wheelies depending on road & clutchless shifting due to quality.
Can't understand the constant cribs about the foot pegs. Every rider on You Tube reviews must have ostrich like feet. I feel totally at home and relaxed on my 821.
Samuel Wicks , u maybe right buddy, I always think I want a double quick shifter but actually I think it would take some fun away from the bike and I love rev matching on the down change, my 959 also has the lightest slipper clutch ever and it has a quick shifter for the up changes, cheers, GMAN
good bike ,the price way too high ,motorbikes should not exceed US$12000.00 above that means you can buy a car with couple more thousands, cause most of the bikes are comfortable for riders only not for the back seat person
