2017 F-150 King Ranch Review @FordOfMurfreesboro 

I don't know is Ford is still doing it on 2017's but in the 2015 and 2016 F150's Ford was using a system that would enhance certain exhaust tones that you would hear in the truck. The Ford explanation is ''The DACMC determines the engine tone to enhance based upon engine rotation speed data, engine torque data, and accelerator pedal position data from the PCM. The data from the PCM is processed and converted into an analog audio signal, transmitted to the DACMC internal tone generator, '' basically on higher model 3.5 EB's a tougher, meatier sound is pumped through the speakers, as a result when you are in the truck it sounds A LOT different than when you are standing beside the truck.
