You seriously did that car justice! Love your reviews, perfectly balanced and you're able to push the car to the limits as well as getting all those lovely shots which youtubers nowadays have lost. Mainly with youtubers who have just started out, they usually have a reason which is the monetary benefits of RU-vid and it is a bit cringe aswell as they have just started out. I didn't get that from you, it was as if you did this prior to starting this channel and I have not yet seen a single add on this channel which goes to show you upload just for you subscribers. I hope your Ramadan is going well and as always, take care and God bless my bro!
Thank you brother! Love the continued support as always. Good to hear that you thought I did the car justice, I always try to capture the feel as much as I can, and try to show what I would like to see if I was watching a video like this. Definitely do it all for you guys, just love being around cars! 🙌🏽
Good to see a review from a fellow S3 owner. I test drove an RS and loved it, only to find that the rear seats were shite for leg and head room. Gutted. My kids are growing up, gotta think practical. Face lift Golf R maybe if I can't stretch to an S4 !! Keep up the reviews.
I legit think you are one of the best car reviewers out there! so much detail...always learn a few things after I finished watching a video of yours. nice one bro keep grinding 🤙🤙👏💯
Firstly, it's a great car and genuine review. I sometimes wonder if car journalists have been too objective and critical when comparing the latest hot hatches, Focus, Civic Type R, Seat, Golf R, S3 and so on because in reality there isn't much difference in term of performance, interior and exterior it's all the same in this class. Some have better seats some have better technology some have a nicer gear shift some you just let the box do its thing some take corners faster some accelerate out of corners faster the list goes on. You know unless you were to compare them with much more expensive mid range supercars there's no real difference at all driven sensibly on public roads they all seem evenly matched in terms of performance some shine better than others depending on conditions and different scenarios so it really falls down to personal choice but having said that on a track is where you see a difference and the Focus and Civic win track battles hands down but that's exactly what they were built to do. You mentioned there isn't a perfect hot hatch and I can't agree more with you! I doubt perfect would ever exist because manufacturers don't have unlimited funds they cut corners keeping build prices down and return a tidy profit. I would love the Ford engine, exhaust pops and bangs built into the Civic chassis because I think it looks the part and its light weight fwd system and aerodynamics with Audi s3 interior and technology and golf R upgraded alloys! Also like the LED indicators 😂 it's never going to happen is it 😂
Thanks mate! Yeah I agree, in terms of raw power they are all very close. It all boils down to personal preference as you say, after driving both the RS and Type R they definitely edge more to the 'racey' side, when compared with some of their german rivals. I think its great that we have such a varied choice of hot hatchbacks available
I've gone from an evo x owner for last 8 years , evo was great but the sst transmition and the boring sound from stock exhaust plus the stealership inexperienced mechanics I finally sold it . Picked up my rs 4 weeks ago . Main thing I love is the manual shift . Then the pops n bangs . Over all this rs is brilliant. Not sure we are going to get many more cars like this again so I'd say go get one now before we are all pushed over to more sensible cars . Great video bro
need to do full review of s3 vs rs3 and go over the pros and cons of both etc it would be a great video bro and keep the excellent content coming been seeing you progress a lot bro
As always awesome review man. Really appreciate you taking the time to do them although I'm sure it's not too much of a chore ;) My only comment is that I get the feeling you didn't want to say anything negative with the owner keeping a close eye on things. Coming from the S3 I can't believe you would have much positive to say about that interior. Out of interest what do you think the car would be like to live with day to day? I'm currently in a facelift mk7 golf R (mk7.5 if you prefer) and much like your S3 I love the fact that it's easy to live with everyday in traffic etc, but then change the mode and it's a blast on the B-roads as well. If the RS is anything like my old Focus ST I don't think I could be happy with it around town or sitting in traffic.
good review mate. Too many reviewers saying the focus is amazing and way better than golf r etc. I feel you are not biased and give a good explanation about what's good about each car. keep it up
Sorry last comment posted from wrong account: As always awesome review man. Thanks man, yeah when it comes to cars i'll always make time haha, even though filming can be a bit tricky at times! I cant complain 👍🏼 And regarding the negative stuff, i do drop a few in my videos but only if I believe they really affect the driving experience. In the case of the RS's interior it isn't a patch on the S3, not even close, but then the whole car felt like a rough and ready rally car, so it didn't bother me too much. I'd put it in the same category as the outgoing Civic Type R which has an equally poor interior. They're just set up for the driving experience. Hope you understand what I'm trying to get at lol, I appreciate the feedback :)
Bro I thought you was going to take a rest for roze.. But you back at it again with another banging video.. Maybe after Ramadan you can have a month were you show classic cars, like a classic car month..
Glad you enjoyed it bro, I was going to scale back slightly but thought I can't leave you guys hanging with nothing for a month! Will be at least one video a week. And yeah thats a good idea, ill be trying some more older cars soon for sure, plenty to come next month!
So TR, don't sit on the fence ,if it was you money at under £40k, for a your daily wheels what car would you have ,now you have done a fair bit of testing on similar UK roads
If you want more fun give the leon cupra a try. It's meant to be more fun around the bends than a golf r and when fifth gear tested them the leon cupra was faster around the track than a golf r. Unlike the focus and the civic it offers nice interior with good ride quality
loving the content mate keep it up! nice to see some personality in your reviews. what about the Seat Leon Cupra 300? probably quite hard to get a hold of one but it would be a good comparison to your S3 and the Golf R as you have driven all of them.
Wish My R sounded like the rs. Wouldn't mind driving one to see the difference in power. I think the power in the R is steady and nothing more really except off the mark. But mine is manual. Good review.
This is what top gear should have been doing.reviewing cars down tight country lanes. not lighting up rear tyres until they fall off . Clarkson got boring!. ran out of ideas. they could of taken a few lessons from you. for the money GOLF R DSG, keep making these great video"s,
Stunning colour. I'm a fan of all makes and models. Two many to names. I'm gonna need some of that cash like the Scottish couple who won ova 50 million this wk and Hamza back garden to park them all in. Great vid as always...
Great review mate one off the best on here only thing i disagree with is the seats i went with the upgraded and luv them but im short lol so seating position is spot on for me
Love the review mate but you should not have done that LC while that horse was behind you. That could have ended up in serious injury to horse and rider.
Thanks mate! And I doubt it, the owner does LC here all the time, he's very local, Rider didn't have a problem. Im pretty sure the horse is used to it by now
Nah that's not the way to look at it pal. Horses are flight animals and they will run at the first sight or sound of danger. Worth respecting that and not taking anything for granted.
Nice car wasn't really liking the launch on a manual think the automatic does it more justice because of the smoother gear changing imo.. But looks and performance are very good with this car.
