I recently traded my 2014 fusion hybrid SE for a new 2017 Fusion Platinum (2.0 ecoboost) in Burgundy velvet got it for 29,900 I love it!! the seats are very comfortable and the features in it are amazing especially the adaptive cruise.
@@miguelaka9583 i had an issue with the dial shifter stuck not turning, got it to dealer and fixed under warranty, beyond that no issues besides regular maintenance.
That is the exact color I have on my Fusion and it is awesome. I will say that it is very hard to keep clean. I have a black leather interior but I wish I had gotten something lighter. I live in SC and it has been over 100 everyday for the past 2 weeks and that heat is killer on my legs being on the leather.
Great video I picked up a 2014 Titanium AWD this summer with The driving Aids. except Atuo Park.. Never had such a high end vehicle. Our other car is an 2013 Escape SEL AWD . Cheers from 🇨🇦
I have the same interior with the Leather dashboard cover. After 6 years, the Leather shrunk and pulled away from the speakers and trim. I urge anyone with this leather dash, to buy a 'cover and keep it covered when not in use. The UV rays cause the leather to shrink. You will have a large repair /replace bill. Other than that I've got 68,000 miles and loving it!
The temperature controls are actual buttons as well, unlike the one you own and featured in a previous video. Hopefully, they're more responsive than the 'touch' buttons. The sound quality in the car is excellent as well, as you indicated in the video. It has good bass and the sound is rich. I wish I had the same sound system and quality in my car.
Bought mine largely on your video. 5 month comments. Annoying window bounce back issue. Afraid to have valet parking. Dislike rain sensing wipers. Twice in a car wash they went on. No clearly marked shutoff for those. Terrible idea. Otherwise, very pleased with this car. Wonderful ride. Great feel on steering. Truly feel like I’m in a luxury car. As an elderly driver with diminishing reflexes, it was important to get every available safety feature. That’s why I paid the premium for the Platinum,
Beautiful interior, however I'd HATE to see the blue from jeans bleed onto these seats. I haven't done much research on the Platinum but they need to make them with black interior
Hey Mike found a person using your video, not sure what the RU-vid policy or rules are. Anyway I don't think it's fair for them to get views for your video and not credit you just being a concerned fan. Top Speed 2017 Ford Fusion platinum review 3 is where you can find it.
Thanks :) My videos and other creators videos get stolen all the time.. I report one person and a new one pops up.. It's sad that people are to lazy to do their own work
I agree that at least for the Platinum trim they should do something different on the rear end, cut the spoiler and make the chromes parts more subtle maybe. It looks like a car that tries to be premium and sporty at the same time
I'm really proud of you, you always gave out the most valuable information someone needs in your reviews. I have not seen any review that is more detailed as yours, you are simply the best. I have seen all your videos about the Ford Fusion 2017(when I said all, I mean all the models that comes with it) but I have not seen any of your review about Ford Fusion hybrid 2017. I have been going through all your videos, still have not seen any video about the hybrid. I will be very grateful if you can do a video about the hybrid(all model). Your videos have really helped me a lot, thank you so much and will waiting to hear from you soon.
For a ford it's nice, it definitely comes close to the Chrysler 200c platinum in terms of quality, also at 38:30 when he shows the rear arm rest and tries to open the compartment but realizes that it is no longer there in the new model.
I have to say I am really impressed with the Fusion. I have a 2015 SE AWD loaner (while my f****** Focus has the clutch pack replaced, yet again) and for the power available with the 2.0L EcoBoost, the fuel economy is reasonable. It seems to have similar fuel economy as the 2013 SE 2.5 loaner I had in August.
That car is very nice. I outstanding car. But my moms 2015 Ford Fusion SE luxury package has all the same features cutting a few out. It has push button start keyless entry eco boost AWD leather Power seats. Heated seats a huge touch screen. 19” premium wheels and much more. So what I don’t get is why spend thousands more dollars when you can get a fusion that is almost the same as platinum for 25,000$ instead of 39,000$
Still loving my 2014 SE 2.0. I redid my door speakers with JBLs and added a 1500w 5ch amp and a 12 last year and will probably give it some 20 inch shoes this year and drive it for about 2-3 more years.
the 2016 S is good until you reach about two thirds volume. It starts getting distorted and the speakers rattle if there is too much bass. I'm guessing the trim levels come with different systems but the volume level sucks imo. but thats why they made aftermarket systems lol
This is definitely what the Mercury Milan would have looked like Edit: I also think that in the platinums Ford should have use the gauge clusters that the MKZ has.
So I take it that the Platinum is mainly an appearance & interior trim package? The changes looks good, but the price premium does push it uncomfortably close the the Lincoln MKZ.
Trades46 you're right, but just so you know it's built on the fusion platform, which is not bad it maybe feel the same, I'd take the Lincoln for sure !
Your 2013 2.0 was the 1st Gen 2.0 Ecoboost. The 2017 is a Completely Different Engine with a Twin Scroll Turbo Hence The Extra 5hp & 5Lb-ft.. I Own This Exact Fusion Platinum 2. Twin Scroll Ecoboost.
I just bought a 2016 fusion from my next door neighbor he is an old guy and can't drive anymore he he gave it to me for 3k and it only has 4k miles on it! 👌👍
So you can leave the key in the car even on models with smart key access? I would have thought anyone could just unlock your car by touching the door handle, since the proximity key fob is in the car. Unless it recognizes that it's inside?
Very nice car Mike. Most likely wont be available in that trim level in NZ. Titanium is the highest level we currently go. Two thi gs put me off your 2017 Platinum. No privacy glass and definitely could not tolerate the rotating gear selector. I thought that Ford switched back to standard hydraulic transmissions for 2017 ? Also on the internet it says the 2 liter Eco boost engine was upgraded with major changes for 2017? something that has always confused me is the difference beween the troublesome Powershift transmission and the 6 speed auto in the 2015-17 Fusion/ Mondeo.
I just don't get the brown, a black contrast with a black headliner would have done this interior way more justice. Especially that brown steering wheel 🤢
can you do a video for the hybrid trim levels available ? I can't find any, and I would love to see some test drive and details for the hybrid. I'm trying to see the difference between a hybrid SE luxury package vs hybrid Titanium vs hybrid platinum.
Hey Mike! I'm a bit surprised about the seating memory buttons. This is Platinum 2017 so it should be higher specs. However, where I live there are only two trim levels; "S" & "SE" 2016 which should be inferior to Platinum, not to mention one year older. Yet, the "SE" has 3 memory buttons on the driver door! How come?!
Thanking of purchasing a used with 30K miles (prior use was fleet/business use so CarMax tells me). Any ideas of common mechanical or more importantly, electrical issues? Thanks!
I hate when reviewers don't actually go over the cluster options and tech features just reading off feature options and won't tell you how to use it. Like I can read just find I searched this videos for how to's not for someone to read out everything I can read myself. Just name the naming most features 2017 Ford Fusion has.
I think most will spend the few thousand more to get the Lincoln MKZ. The Platinum trim isn't needed, and like you said, it isn't a true Platinum. I wish they put drive buttons on the stack like lincoln, I agree the rotary shifter gets hot!
Having been inside both, I'd actually prefer the Fusion shifter to the MKZ. The MKZ does seem more comfortable (though I have not actually driven it yet, just explored the interior), and does have the CCD adaptive suspension. Some will undoubtedly pay the extra money for the MKZ. I would be on the fence.
+Jay Jaeger I like the idea of the rotary shifter, it's a nice nod to Jag and Rover... But it gets so hot. And keeping with family, the stack button shifter would have made more sense. Completely clear up that console area. I am a fan of the platinum interior minus the centre stack and the dated gauge cluster. I was expecting more from the platinum trim, it truly is just a Titanium with different seats. I'd go for the MKZ myself, and spend the extra ($4500 in Canada) for a fully loaded reserve trim level with sliding roof, 14 speaker Revel audio system and still get HID lamps instead of the LED ones that don't produce heat.
I do prefer the guage cluster of the MKZ. The center large speedometer is soooooo 1950's. The Audi A4 and Q7 show the way of the future: screens, that allow different views.
+Jay Jaeger very true, and even the European Ford has that great Human Machine Interface cluster before Ford North America took over... The dual screen system is so old looking. And sync 3... Let's not even start on how terrible that looks. Compared to every other system on the market it's near the bottom in attractiveness.
AutoVlog- Question, last summer I was considering ordering one of the Fusion Sport models. I seem to remember when going through the options,a drivers and passengers side aluminum foot plate available with a luminescent blue lighted "FUSION" looking kinda swanky.Anyway ,can you comment on to whether that option is available on the platinum trim level ?Also, do you know if the. power adjusted brake and gas pedal option is available with this trim as well? Thank you sir.
I love my 2019 fully loaded best you can get for a hybrid ford fusion titanium. I don't see that much of a difference, diamond quilt seats, front sensors, an parallel park itself, which I could give a shit... Lol you need to rely on car to park for you that's sad lmao. But no my titanium is perfect heated, cooled seats, heated steering, ambient color changing lights, all LEDs, fog lights, chrome mesh grill, spoiler it's got everything!!! Only thing better is a sport but that's defeating the whole purpose, I wanted a hybrid!! Lol I recommend finding one used but new I got mine with only 6800 miles on it pretty much a demo almost got it for 20,300 which was a good deal I think, also has adaptive cruise control which is incredible an effective, you are almost certain not to crash this car. Very safe 👍👍👍
I also like it. I am looking to get a new car and I am thinking about getting a fusion like yours I really don't like the shift knob for this one I'm stuck between a fusion or the tenth generation Honda Civic
I bought 2017 model ,and after accident I had a problem to buy a parts for . My ford dealer can't order items for my car becouse Ford blocked all US/Canada VIN Numbers for costumers from Europe . Thank You Ford !!!!! You shows Me ,how You care about costumers .Thats impress me much!!!!!
