I have the XL version of this vehicle in the same color. It's a great SUV. The 6.2L gets surprisingly decent mpg (23mpg on the highway) and offers plenty of power fro towing. My only complaint is that it takes premium fuel. Gas prices were under $3 pre gallon when I bought it. All in all, it's been great and I love the color and get a lot of compliments on it.
Andrew Walker the first part is a negative I'm used to everything because I talk VERY professional, so no that wasn't a surprise. And he looks latino btw.
wow, that interior though. seriously. brushed aluminium around the vents, magnetic ride, semi aniline leather with french stitching. it puts the Lincoln navigator and Infiniti QX80 to shame.
Thank you for showing the details and ports on the rear seat entertainment system! Much-appreciated, and glad to know (and see), there is an HDMI input.
I maybe getting a 17 Denali next week. After my camaro was totaled I really wanted another one but I think it's time to be a big boy. Can't really enjoy a muscle car in the city.
Hey Cameron. I agree with you regarding the interior for sure. I may be mistaken but where are the turn signal indicators on the exterior mirrors? Maybe they are in the actual glass part but I don't recall see that either.
Escalade vs Denali , GM needs to decide which will be its true luxury as the escalade exterior is awful but it's interior is appealing compared to the GMC Denali
You can opted out for a 2017 Cadillac Escalade (all trims) with 9-passengers seating, as well for a Chevrolet Tahoe (all trims) and a 2017 GMC Yukon SLT and Denali, too. However, the vehicle must be ordered in order to receive up to 9-passengers seating in each full-size GM vehicle no matter if it is the Escalade, Tahoe or Yukon.
I have a 2011 Avalanche LTZ with the 5.3. One of my few complaints about the truck is the motor feeling woefully underpowered. The transmission is quick to find the higher gears for fuel economy purposes, which doesn't help either. Ever since I've owned it, I've thought it could use another 50 -75 hp and another 75-100 foot/pound of torque. That's just me though.
I agree with Tony. I currently own a 2015 Tahoe with the 5.3 and I definitely think it's underpowered for towing. Non-towing it's fine. Test drove a Yukon Denali this past weekend and was blown away with how much more power it has. Looking to trade for one and looking forward to towing with it.
2011 HP ratings are quite a bit less than current 5.3. I have a 2014 Silverado 5.3 that is rated at 355 HP, and it’s got plenty of power. When buying a Tahoe XL, which is considerably heavier than my truck, I bought the Denali because I wanted the 6.2, which is rated at 420 HP, and it’s pretty damn fast, even for a big, heavy vehicle.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I like the 2017 Acadia Denali more for luxury but I will always stick with this for an all around badass truck. If the Acadia has a v8 in it then it would be my favorite over all
The Cadillac Escalade is just a better pick in my opinion. It has more prestige than a GMC Yukon with Denali trim, and a more presence to me especially with the full LED headlamps, illuminated door handles and luxurious interior materials.
Man I just loaded my 17 yukon denali with a 7500pound trailer and the rear suspension leveled itself out very well! But the fuel milage was terrible lol
I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee and I absolutely love the fact that i didn't choose a huge full size SUV. Not only is a traditional midsized SUV cheaper but also more fuel efficient as well. They also provide a high up driving position sitting slightly lower than a full sized SUV and even higher than a midsize crossover, but these of course are only the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota 4Runner as they are last traditional midsize SUV's.
they should've left the interior cluster light and accent lights red. now its an ugly teal blue like the tahoes... smh. a dark royal blue woulda been nice though.
They need to replace that Jurassic era shifter with a high-quality rotary selector. In a vehicle at this price point, the current shifter looks like a very cheap and compromised design afterthought.
The gas prices dont get down And yet GM still insist on the v8 petrol engine..didnt think about smaller diesel engine..even the duramax is useless its gassy as much as petrol engine.
this is so behind in technology for the price. no birds eye view or what ever you call it, really on a 2017 vehicle? it looks amazing amd it rides amazing but i cant get over the fact that even if you get the most expeaive one.it still doesn't have all.the bells and whistles other SUVs have standard
Andrew Walker not necessary but for that price, its 2017 for fucks sakes!!! Kias have that type of shit now, this is or its supposed to be a luxury SUV thats why i mentioned it.
No one because this IS a Tahoe with a better exterior, similar interior with higher quality materials, and a more powerful engine. It also has more features
I love how the exterior looks, but the interior is a turn off. That's why I bought the Escalade. I actually prefer the Yukon Denali exterior to the Escalade.
Eric Roberts well yes there is plastic but it’s soft touch and good quality. Plus there's more leather and wood than you think, check one out in real life
these vehicles are some thing else. I got to ride in one yesterday, Saturday October 21 2017. It has a running board, which I'm not sure if I like or not. Then it had a grab handle, to pull yourself up into the vehicle with - and that was a challenge. There's NO key, on the side of the radio is a button to push to start the vehicle - the same to turn it off. It's TOO fancy for me. It's up higher off the ground then my shitty Chevy Equinox. I'm not a fan of Chevy/ GMC vehicles. I prefer Ford's. I drove a Ford Aspire for 14 years, before that - I drove a Subaru Justy for just over 7 years. I'm a fan of Ford's, Subaru's, and Toyota's. I've never rode in or driven a Dodge. So I don't know what I think of those vehicles. The same with Mazda's. I don't want a vehicle that I consider FANCY, and would cost me an arm and a leg to own. I prefer low cost, in payments, and NOT a gas hog. An SUV type of vehicle, 4 wheel drive instead of AWD. Ford Escape, Ford Edge. Ford Ranger. Or a Subaru Baja. Or a Toyota Tacoma. Toyota Tundra. Toyota Highlander. I would need a couple of weeks to decide if I really liked a vehicle or not, but I know it's not possible to test drive a vehicle for 2 weeks. If it were possible to test drive a vehicle for 2 weeks, I'd test drive every vehicle that I could, just to make sure that it's the vehicle I want to be paying payments on. Not just a few minutes of test driving, and say: yep, I like it. And then a week later decide there's some things about it that I DON'T like and I don't want. Oops.... TOO LATE. So I'll just stay with Ford's, Subaru's, and Toyota's.
"It's essentially a 6.2 V8..." Essentially? There's no essentially about it. I hate it when dipshits attempt talking as if their aristocracy and throw in big words to try looking like an expert. It's a 6.2, not essentially, not partly, it flat out IS. I can tell 3 things from watching this video:1. You've never owned a full size truck2. You memorize the stats and options but have no understanding of how options these days compare to the vehicles of yesteryear, and your criticism of the features is purely juvenile3. This is a full size SUV. No one should confuse this with a crossover and if they do, they're blind. For whatever reason you just went on and on about how this compares to crossovers, yet they're not in the same class and you comparing them is apples to oranges.
Don B I compared it to crossovers to tell the audience that if they don't need the utter capabilties of a full sized truck based SUV that they may be more well off with a more civilized crossover and calm down it's just a video and is only here to help people out.
Great reviews, but it be better if you advertise to a younger audience. Or go make reviews for a Toyota corolla, Honda Civic, or cube. Stick to your age base... 😒
