Sorry folks. Its been a while and its not intentional. As I've mentioned before these videos are a by product and not the main feature. I also think that there's also so many videos now I don't want to keep putting the same kind of stuff up so something has to happen these days for me to vid. Its been an epic week. I've been MIA for a while.....enjoying cider obviously. I've needed to bottle this tank for the last 6 weeks or so but just work, timing, birthdays, motivation and whatnot its dragged and dragged, so this week, on Tuesday I managed to get started.......and thats where all my problems began............... Its Thursday.....3pm.....I'm home and finished.........What the ***k just happened!.....watch and have fun! I didnt so someone else might as well have some....................
PS..the enolmatic bottler didn't come with any instructions......
PPS, when I google the instructions on wednesday the pdf seems to be missing a few key bits.......... like Figures 1 to 12 that relate to the text!
So on Thursday I finally figured things out myself............ but a bit late........Doh! Like 4 years late..........

Legendary video thank you, the enolmatic looks like it can be a right pain in the arse but wow what an enabler for the diyer though and your video gives me more encouragement for my ideas that I want to do...Don't worry not another cider competitor I drink all mine 🤔 Thanks again and best of luck for this season Subscribed also

Hi, I'm making Cider myself and would like to increase production by a fair bit. Could you tell me what tanks you use (if you recommend them) and how you use them together in terms of first and second fermentation? Thanks a lot, love the channel!
@MrServecool

The tanks are 500 litre stainless and yes I highly recommend them. Dont quite follow with the question 1st and 2nd fermentation though. primary ferment s done with an air lock and once completed, air is excluded and the tank sealed until its needed for bottling

may I ask what do you do with this amount of cider? do you sell it or are you gearing up to do so? I've made about 500 grolsch bottles worth and its a lot of work. thanks

Cool the cider down to 4 degrees Celcius, and then fill your bottle's.

Just keeps growing year by year.Do you still have the press in your garden?
@MrServecool

It all at the cider house. I;m sure its in the background in this vid somewhere. Youre not allowed to run a business in a shed without planning permissions/applications to be fully above board so it had to move really.

Hi, thanks for your videos! I'm an amateur cider maker n Finland, altogether I use a similar process as yours, but my production is 200 liters max per year, consequently I have a smaller press and grinder. My fermentation room is a sauna-wood shelter, which is heated in winter to 12- 14 deg :) But now my question: this year I want to abandon the expensive flip-cork bottles for cheaper and easier cork bottles, and an automatic filling machine (now I use a siphon tube). After some research, I come up with exactly your setup (!!). But from your videos, you don't seem so enthusiast of your Enolmatic: do you recommend the product? Or do you have in mind some alternatives already?

The elonmatic is OK once you get it dialled in to the size of bottle you are using and the liquid your filling with is not too gassy. if it froths it seriously slows the process down. Get it right and you can fill quite a large number of bottles a day for 1 person.

I'm really interessted by the enolmatic, I was just worried about the oxydation risks, do you have some feedback to share on this?
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 5 лет назад
apart from professional bottling system with an inert atmosphere you cannot stop getting a little bit of air in the top of the bottle when filling with any system. For DIYers its great as it will suck out of a tank, keep air exposure to a minimum and is quick enough. I doubt theres a taste difference after bottling but thats very very subjective.

Is there not the risk to oxidate the beer since you splash it inside the bottle?
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 5 лет назад
A little but it spends all its life in stainless vats and then goes into glass so is exposed to the air for such a tiny tiny fraction of its life it will not affect the end resutls really. Its under vacuum so the space seen in the bottle as it fills is not air....its more CO2 and alcohol vapour that degasses out of the cider under vacuum. When you take it off the filler its exposed to air untill the cap is on.

Do you ever keg to sell at taverns/pubs? or use growlers for bottling?
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 7 лет назад
Only bottles to pubs. I have not got the filling gear for kegging it. its been bad enough getting to this bottling scale!

Does the enolmatic works with forced carbonated beer from a brite tank?
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 5 лет назад
No it will not. It will froth uncontrolably. Its only for still liquid really.

do you buy empty/sanitized bottles or recycle old ones? I do the latter and it is exactly the thing that is quite often putting me away :-)
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 5 лет назад
I recycle and clean and reuse where possible.
@MrServecool
@MrServecool 5 лет назад
Sorry. thats a misleading answer. I bought 10000 bottles that had been recycled and are designed to be recycled. When I sell the cider I often do nto get them back. If I've donated some to a apple grower I often get the bottles back and I will clean, sterilise and reuse them at every oppertunity. They cost 15p each!!! its a big cost per bottle of cider believe it or not. most bottles on supermarket shelves are no designed to be reused believe it or not.
@deiksac
@deiksac 5 лет назад
@@MrServecool I see. I do the same, here it is quite easy to get champagne/beer bottles in beershops, but getting them in the order of thousands and sanitizing them is no small feat :-) I only buy these when I have the chance to come to germany as the deposit there is also in the order of 15p www.bielmeier-hausgeraete.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/m/image_8751_1.jpg

omg. A MrServecool video. Please post more! I have watched all since the beginning. If I make it over across the pond (I'm in Canada), I wouldn't mind offering a hand pressing (gratis).
