Well finally took the plunge. 380 bottles, 1/3 primed with brown sugar, 1/3 primed with white sugar and 1/3 not primed at all. Took 6 hours in total. The enolmatic filler was really good in the end. The hand capper was useless when used on this quantity. we will get a better one for next time. The cider......2nd barrel is brilliant. you can taste that its been made with garden eating apples. There's a fresh fruity taste that tells you its from an orchard and reminds you of fresh crunchy gala's or similar. Bloody good to be honest compared to the first barrel which oxidised too much and light years away from last year. These bottles will allow some of the cider to be stored for longer than BintheB and the barrels so now I've hopefully got some vintage stock for next year (as long as I dont go through it!). A bit cooked at the end of the video on 4 glasses! 268000 bottled filled is a penny a bottle DOH! I dont think so, thats 26,800 bottles, hopefully it will run for that long! Sorry. less drinking, more cider making, its damn strong stuff!

Also, just slow down the vacuum level, which slows down the fill rate, and not so much will be sucked up by the overflow. You are likely overfilling for the size bottles you are using. Adjust the spout (spring) to adjust the automatic shutoff. It looks like the fill height is too high, and the excess is being sucked out. There should be very little. Cheers.

Had any issues with oxygenation ... that fill looks bloody quick, is there really enough time to remove the oxygen and create a vacuum before it starts filling?

You have to adjust the filler tube and you will not loose any

If you have the container lower than the enolmatic you will not fill the overflow chamber. ;)

great job but what do you do with it all.personal use.thinking of a barrel or 2 myself for personal use through the year.I only do small batches but want to go larger

How much sugar have you added to each bottle..? We decanted ours into a large pan, 6 liters at a time, then added sugar (1/2 cup per liter) mixed in well. Then filtered and re bottled... not sure if we have added enough sugar... but we're learning.

so wot did you add to cider bar camden tabs etc?????? also wot diff does it make ie dark sugar ?? i pressed mine 2 sep last year in barrels untill late feb may of been march lol ish been in bottles for 2 months ish try one today mmmmmmm better than fist one about 4 weeks ago i made 130 ish ltr at 1060 :)

I had to make it myself. Its a hand held electric whisk with a beer bottle brush attached instead of the whisk attachments.
