I am so glad I bought the soft top. I love the looks of the RF, but having the soft top completely down is just the best! I would take either, but I love my soft top.

Hard Top: - the AC actually is effective. Heater is also effective. -it is 45kg heavier. that's 4% . 2019 model gets a 25hp power bump. that's 16%. the weight will balanced out by that. -Actually looks good with the top up. -Quieter. both top up and down. -More Secure from theft. The extra charge is $2650 and 0-60 time of 0.1s slower. For a more premium looking, Quieter, more isolated from the elements when you want miata.

Nice job on the video. Back in '99 I had a new NB and that was a great car, but I like the styling and added security of the RF and the modern electronics. With bluetooth and two speakers in each headrest, I have no problems communicating on the phone with the top down at 45-50 mph. 34.3 mpg is exactly the average mileage I'm seeing.

Soft top pros: - car is noticeably lighter=>faster and handles a bit better - has better and more open visibility when the soft top is down coz there is nothing abstracting the view on your backside - less expensive Hard top pros: Looks a bit more premium with the top up Soft top it is! :)

soft top also comes with a bigger trunk and it's faster to open/close

It’s nice I get the appeal of the Rf but the RS there’s no blind spots. And when the top is down (which is always) it’s easier to get in and out

I test drove a new 2017. It's good as a $25k car (soft top) but poor as a $35k car (hard top convertible).

dude. the rf youre talking about cannot be compared to the base soft top. the price difference is 2650. realistically.

What about structural differences between the two? It has been said by a commentator that there are added structural members in the soft top that make the chassis stiffer and more structurally sound. I have no idea though.

I liked the video and think you did a nice job answering most of the important questions. I also like seeing someone review a car who isn’t a mid-30s white guy for a change. I found the music distracting and thought it was annoying to see the track info pop up every time the song changed though.

We think it may have been a spider web, s0m3dud392. While press vehicles oftentimes have the evidence of poor custody by journalists, we usually try not to show those areas up close on camera. That being said, AutoAcademics also tries to keep the cars we get as clean as possible, so who knows? Whatever it was, we didn't do it! LoL Thanks for watching!

I like it I just don't like cars with keyless entry I keep thinking someone can just hack my car with there phone and steal it I don't trust the keyless stuff and plus what happens if the battery in the keyfob dies then how do u open UR car

I also worried about a dead battery in the key fob. So, I took the battery out of the fob, place the fob by the start button, and pressed the start button, and the car started.

i used to think the exact same thing. then i googled. researched. keyless entry is safer than the regular key entry.

Unfortunately, we haven't had the opportunity to test the auto transmission in the Miata, eddie gray. We did review a Fiat 124 with the auto and we weren't that impressed. It was very slow to shift and we believe it's the same transmission in both cars. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

No way would would I pay anywhere close to $35k for this. Heck, you could buy a low mileage 997 Carrera for that and have MUCH more sports car that would likely depreciate much less than this thing.

Chris always says he's of average height, Cedrick Neal, but if we had to guess, we'd say he's somewhere around 5'8 or 5'9. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
