In this video I am going to show you how to do a service on your 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W213 2 L Diesel #benz service #mercedesservice #carservice #mercedese220service #mercedese2202017service #mercedese220oilfilterchange
I'm about to buy an S213 (my dad's that he's had for 4 years), and this has put my mind at rest about how well thought out the location of all these components is. Yes, a lot are plastic (which is a shame in a way) but the procedures seem to be quite simple to carry out. Fuel filter is the only pain, given in my Passat it's under the bonnet (transverse) which was a little easier to do, but the oil filter on this is in a much better location (on the Passat it's under the EGR pipe so a bit of a faff). Thanks for the video, very useful!
I pull the oil filter out and leave it out until after draining the oil pan. Wish they had a top oil dipstick so the oil can be pumped out without getting under the car and undoing all them bolts to drop the covers. Pour the new oil down the oil filter hole - much quicker and the oil doesn't get jammed up on the cam lifters under the oil filler cap. Put the oil filter in last. Great instructions on replacing the fuel filter. To avoid DPF problems use the best oil and change it every three times inside what the recommended oil change intervals are. Recommended intervals are 25,000 kilometers. Don't go near that - change the oil and filter every 8000 Kilometres. DPF and EGR replacement on the latest OM654 can run into 5 figures. Even my dealership service manager told me to change it every 8000k's.
Great video, not easy working under cars. Plastic sump plug! No oil dipstick! Fiddly nail breaking clips & cheap plastics everywhere! Burying the air filter, requiring the ECU to be disturbed, crazy! I drive this model & constantly discover how Merc has lost the plot, for what used to be quality built cars.
Another great video my man ,its great to get a step by step guide of what to do,especially if your not mechanical minded ( like me ) so I thank you for that, looking forward to the next video keep the great work you do👍
I was thinking to upgrade from my 2016 S212 to 213, but as I do my service myself I will keep it. It´s more servicefriendly than this, and I still have 234hp and 9g-tronic so what benefit is a 213?
Good video mate, the only thing I am concerned about, is the placement of the jack stand. I thought I saw in the video that it wasn't touching the car, although it was under the car just in case the jack slipped. Is this correct? 😊
Hi, great video.. I have my W213 at the dealer today for service... They almost gave me an heart attack when telling me the net price for this small A3 service.. Final result will be that I in the future will do the service for my estate E220D. I only have one question!.. No need to air bleed W213 E220D after diesel filter change?
you replaced the dust filter which is under the bonnet. The particlute filter cabin filter is inside the car under the glove box m8 did u change that as never seen it in the video
Air filter replacement : This video is completely wrong. Only 5 clips need to be unscrewed. All you need is a screwdriver. Doing so will damage the cover.
At least it's able to breathe and doesn't have water constantly in that location. In my VW group cars (and i'll be honest I love my VWs), the ECU is under the wiper motor, where the drains clog and it's always a wet humid environment. This seems much better. Just about to buy my first S213 estate (E220d), had a Passat B6 previously to this
