in the early models we could start the vehicle if the battery in the key fob is dead and with the removable push start button we could manually start, but how can we do it now? what happens if the battery is dead?
Shamindra Alwis there's a charger for the key inside the car, behind the cup holders. If you keep the key there while driving from time to time, the battery shouldn't die.
Someone who knows there stuff please answer . I want a car that does sport and luxury. Sport meaning it has some speed but now that 0-60 in 4 seconds sport.. would you recommend this or a bmw 4 series?
Mike Blando if you are looking for a larger, higher quality interior, and newer tech, I’d go for the 2018 E43 AMG. If you really want that BMW feel and coupe styling of the 4 Series then get a 440i. Keep in mind the E43 is 10-20k more expensive. If you want to keep the prices around the same, the E300 (0-60 6.2) will be more in the price range of 50-60k rather then 70-80k with the E43. Hope I helped.
Stephen's Car Reviews yea my price range is def in the mid 50s higher end 40s .. the bmw 440i grand coupe is probably my choice. I like this e300 though the interior smokes the bmw by far just don’t know if the speed is comparable..
Mike Blando if you are looking for new, I would say go with a slightly used or CPO car with under 10-15k miles on it and trust me, money will be shaved off of the MSRP making it fall in the mid 40’s for you.
I went from a BMW 3 series to a 2017 E300. The 3 series drove and handled better. My E300 was peppered with problems. Had to bring it in the shop over 25 times in the first few months. Ridiculous! I bought a car do drive, not to bring it into the shop twice a week for several months! They put me in another E300 (this time a package with heads up display and massaging seats, etc.). First few months, in the shop over 6 times, and Mercedes initially refused to fix the creaking in my door when it went over bumpy roads because they could not duplicate it! Then they were able to duplicate it but wouldn't fix it because it wasn't "continuous" enough! Screw Mercedes! What a POS product they produce! I took a huge loss on the trade in for a BMW. It's night and day! The BMW drives and handles great and has no rattles. It nearly glides everywhere I go. I paid a very steep price to experience how bad Mercedes is! I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again!
George Chiang wow. I'm so sorry about that. I have heard many stories about similar situations with people purchasing 2017 E-300s. That is awful. What car are you in now?
George Chiang damn, almost brought an E class! I was going to buy an E 220D (would've preferred the plug in hybrid version) and went with a GLE 500e instead, so must've been luck that I chose a good car!
in my honest opinion, that's a reflection of all mercedes vehicles. both cars were pieces of shi#t and therefore i think all of mercedes are sh#t cars. congratulations!
George Chiang ahh... I guess I think long term I accidentally brought the most hated BMW of them all (all BMW fans know this) so therefore we lost all trust in BMW ever since we brought that car. I know it's not a reflection of the brand, but oh well... Another reason I chose the Mercedes over say, a BMW X5 would be price, since they are roughly the same size, the BMW had a base price of 138,000 american (including my country's tax) while the saleswoman at Mercedes gave me a great deal for the Mercedes at 119,000 dollars. I only wish I had Keyless-Go since we didn't buy that option. Mercedes also had better financing, however in the end we just brought the car with a big lump of cash. I haven't been in another person's BMW (except at the showroom) for quite a while now so I can't comment what it feels like. In my car, to change the radio station that isn't stored in the memory, (step by step) First, go into entertainment Secondly, go to settings Thirdly, go to radio memory and choose the band After that, look up the radio station Finally, store it in the memory. In a Toyota Camry all you need to do is turn a fucking knob. BMW really flopped the E65 7 series. That's the reason why we choose Mercedes.
This actually is a pretty bad review, especially when a kid does it. Sure, I'm 14 and I have: a GLE, a CLS and an SL. And I still haven't lost half my squeaky voice, therefore, I suggest staying away from reviewing these cars. Also, you need another cameraman. Take Doug DeMuro as an example.
UnJong Kim do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Or if you're just "over 13" then I guess your brain hasn't fully developed yet so I'll take that as an excuse for being rude. Have a bit of empathy. :)
