Autobahn acceleration test with the all-new 2016 / 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class T-Modell (Wagon) as the E 200 delivering 184 hp and 300 Nm of torque (weight: 1705 kg). As you probably know the we have tested the 220 d Diesel recently this is a good option for people who want a very smooth engine character and don't do many kilometers per year. Of course the Diesel has more punch, but once you rev it this one is also quite decent from an acceleration perspective. I like this 2.0 Turbo in this E-Class. It's got the perfect blend of power and torque, and really fits in with this car. Not to mention extreme fuel economy...

You're talking about the entry level engine. The same W210s had 2.0K M111 with 163 or 192HP and not to mention the 2.3K...

Until what speed is the 9th gear appropriate on a flat stertch with cruise contol on?

From 130 km/h it usually goes into 9th speed into this E200. Lower speeds will require the 8th gear, but you don't really realize the jump.

Мартин Лазаров Well, topspeed of course if you don't accelerate any longer. The Videos shows 9th gear at 210 km/h so that should answer your question I guess ;)

I am sure it is a great engine.....perhaps for an A Class, however I think the Mercedes E Class needs more power and torque. If I owned this car it would annoy me knowing that the E300 has the same engine but produces 45kW more power and what I effectively have is something that has been detuned to fill the price gaps in Merc's product line up.

ADDONRACER That's what I thought but he was on 9th gear and full throttle but the transmission didn't change to a lower gear it keeped in 9th for a while.

The most basic of the merc E class with this engine is the price of a fully equipped volvo s90 with the T6 engine with 320HP so why the hell i would get this thing?

Ok schnell ist er nicht. Für die meisten wird es reichen. Der Tacho wirkt im Gegensatz zu C klasse richtig edel.

Naja die Gänge 7/8/9 kann man in die Tonne 🛢 schmeißen da geh ja gar nix mehr und dann noch derart lang übersetzt das die ganze Zeit nur geschaltet werden muss. 😢 😢 😢.Das Getriebe passt eher zu einem V8 ab 500 PS finde ich.. Dieses Auto würde mir auf keinen Fall Spaß machen 😢😢

Ist halt nen "normaler" Benziner der einen großen Kombi vorantreibt, der 220 d ist etwas schneller, aber auch nicht viel. Das meiste tut der Windwiderstand:)

Reicht völlig aus. Wenn man bedenkt, dass man für 300Nm Drehmoment noch vor 10 Jahren einen 6 Zylinder mit rund 3 Litern Hubraum benötigt hat, ist der 200er schon in Ordnung...

Benziner, Sauger - Ja. Ansonsten konnte man auch damals PS * 2 = ca. max. Drehmoment beim Turbodiesel haben.

Man muss auch immer bedenken, wie so ein Auto durchschnittlich bewegt wird. In der Stadt im Berufsverkehr, auf der Landstraße mit maximal 100 km/h, meist sogar nur 70 km/h und auf der Autobahn erreicht man seine 200 km/h nur noch sehr selten. Ein an sich vollkommen ausreichender Motor.

Why 9 speeds, he only uses 5 while accelerating and then goes through speeds almost w/o use. 6 speeds is enough, rest is marketing

you actually do not know anything about engines. please don’t talk about em then. the 9g tronic was made for driving in a comfy way, i got the new e220d with 9g and it only takes me 5.4 l in the city. you couldnt get under 7.5l with 6 speeds. the engine also sounds queit in cmofy mode, a lot more quiet than with 6 speeds..

Was erwarten Sie bei 1705kg und 184 Ps? Bei einem aufgerundeten Leistungsgewicht von 9,3kg/Ps ist die Beschleunigung mehr als in Ordnung. Man kommt gut vom Fleck und verstecken muss man sich auch nicht. Der E200 ist nicht zum Rasen gemacht.

@@cornyschoko Die Endgeschwindigkeit vom E200 ist trotzdem überragend. Ist halt windschnittig ohne Ende. Und die ganzen neunmalklugen Kommentatoren hier, haben offensichtlich keine Ahnung, dass man selbst auf ner freien Autobahn selten länger als 5 Minuten mit 200+ heizen kann. Weil entweder Limit, Baustelle oder irgendein Ochse, der einen absichtlich ausbremst. So gesehen ist ein Auto, welches bis Tempo 200 sehr sparsam ist, das Beste was man kriegen kann. So ein E200 mit 9 Gang Automatik ist auch extrem sparsam. Der frisst bei 200 auf ner flachen Strecke etwa 13 Liter (Videobeweise gibts zuhauf) und somit kaum mehr als z.B. die Diesel oder sogar Gleichstand. Für jemanden, der also nicht ständig 250 fährt, ist der E200 also absolut genial und ich will jetzt auch so einen haben! 😊 Mit 32 kann man sich jetzt auch nen Benz gönnen.
